I love the car that much. The first took about an 1 1/2 to upload, but the 2nd-4th took less than 15-20 minutes.

Oh, and I'm d/ling it now.

You'll like it.

The videos were just a buch of boat videos, not car ones. ;)

I'd like to see that thing turn at least once...

One of the videos was a drift video... :sly:
And it looked like it was readly to keel over. I thought it was going to flip!

It wasn't going to flip... :indiff:

The _________ is a VERY stable car! It has one of the lowest drag coefficients for a production car (not including hybrids because that's not a fair comparison). :dopey: Also, the car is wider than it is longer -- so you never gets "tippy". :sly:

hows about a few pics for those with
1. low bandwidth
2. lazy people who dont wanna wait a few minutes to download a video they'll delete and just wanna see a few pics with a description (like me)

Excellent! You'll like these. :D
Very nice. The LMS kit sounds a lot like my friends TBird with a dual Flowmaster custom exhaust. He doesnt have true duals, though. Surprised that they dont launch very straight though. :odd:
Hell, you might even want to buy one after watching these! :sly:
Having driven a couple cars with automatics, I know that any car I buy has to be a manual. Anyways, I have my heart set on a 2004 GTO. I'll trade 50 hp to get rid of those hood nostrils. When I graduate....

Cool! I think the base Mark VIII has faux dual exhaust while the LSC has true duals.

No limited slip diff. :nervous:

Excellent! GTOs are very fast and they look great too. Actually, I think the hood nostrils look cool -- then again the T-Bird Turbo has them so...

You can always get an '05, and change the hood. 400 horsepower... One concern, though -- the GTOs weigh almost as much (if not as much) as the LSC... :odd:

The IRS lets the MN12s slide really neutrally, as you could see in that drift video. His car has had problems recently, though. One thing is, he has a aftermarket steroe and Viper alarm, but something in the wiring is off, so his battery drains...preventing him from unlocking the car. I think this has happened 5 times so far...you have to slide under the car and pop the hood form the underside, then charge up the battery...not fun. And the ground strap broke, so it cause all sorts of electrical gremlins; the fuse for the dashboard blew, he changed it, now the interior lights won't go off....

I dislike the nostrils because I want as generic looking a car as possible...drawing attention ruins your fun.

And since the 04 has 250% more hp and 50% more gears in the tranny than what I drive now...I'm sure it will be plenty to entertain me.

As for the weight, the GTOs are built like tanks, they are going to last forever.

That's true. Something to look forward too... :sly: Unlike the current live-axle piece of... makes me sick just thinking about it... :indiff:

I'm not surprised. Typical Ford... :sly:

I agree. That's what make the LSC so special. :sly: No one'll ever see it coming from a Lincoln.

That's true. The LSC represents a giant leap forward for me too.

Built like tanks is good. Weighs as much as tank another issue -- especially if you intend to do some serious drag racing. It's still a Corvette motor though, so...:D

 No, although I can understand why you thought so....it's a Lincoln Mark 8 not an Evo 8 ;)

Lincoln Mark VIII forum
I decided since Stanton was having test and Tune tonight to go and see what the Mark VIII would do, even with a slipping tranny. I drove 2 hours to get there and after tech went straight to the line. First run with the heat soaked engine was a 15.416 at 92.62 with me leaving it in drive. I knew that I needed to let the car cool down some before running again so I opened the hood for about 30 minutes to let her cool down. I was going to ice the intake to help it cool down stone cold, but unfortunately they had the ice boxes locked up. I only managed to get the temp down to between the A and L in normal. I decided to shift myself the next time and ran a 15.04 at 94.47. I let her cool down again to the same point and it ran a 15.05 at 94.79. I tried 3 more runs but could not improve on it.
I have my baseline but I know that there is more in it. If I had been able to get it bone dead cold and iced down I know for a fact that I could have trapped over 96 and most likely ran a high 14. The tranny also could not decide to shift into second gear for about a second as I have still not fixed the tranny, something that will be taken care of within the next 2 weeks. This more than likely cost me at least a .10th. The OD swith also does not work, I don't know if that mattered or not. I also had a full tank of gas and the spare and jack still in the back to help with traction. I plan on going back when I get the tranny fixed to see what she will run bone dead cold. I feel she has some 14.7's in it stock, then the mods will begin.

Now that's a car!
