Hi...
Eh I just want to know if I'm on the good way for drifting...

Recently, I found this forum and read that we needed SIm tyres to be able to drift correctly... I tried them and they really gave me a good hand at drifting... the problem is that I don't quite Know what are the others basic settings for drifting... talking about the adjustements on the car (Camber espessially)...

Because I seem to not be able to keep a beautifull drift... My car always seem to shake it's ass when sliding... I'm using the Dual shock controller (Had a wingman GP forceF but broke the Force F trying to modify my wheel :banghead: )... So if anybody knows if my problem is only ME , My controller, or the Settings... Plz answer...

I don't know what exactly the problem is but if you need settings for your car search for some on www.gtvault.com as I recently started to find settings from them some of which help you to drift without sim tyres!:D

Good Luck!:D

u don't really need to have good settings to perform a good drift. I can make good drifts with just stock cars. It all about practice....practice practice practice

meh, it'z all good. The car wasn't made for speed, but for style. i can go up to 60 mph while drifting in most corners, especially the long ones, but my elise can go up to 100 ^_^

Well Thx for your advice guys... But I really thing one of my problem is having to drift with the dual shock controller... I Know I should practice but it doesn't seem to get anywhere and I often get bored of spinning around or just not being "sliding" enough...
But I usually get some good drifts once in a while that encourages me to continue!!!... Anyways!!

By the way, I'm using a good couple of cars for drifting because I got a lot of cash an can buy any car....

My favorite "drift" courses are Complex String and Deep Forrest!...

Entouka merci de votre aide si ca peux me faire Drifter comme du monde une jour pis je gagnes beaucoup d'argent je vous remercierai!!!
(This is French, I like my country.... but it's ****ing COLD!!! )

nismo, forget quebec. and forget sim tyres.

sim tyres are just tyres with slightly more grip than normal tyres, i can't see anything 'special' about them like the game says.

i drift with the dual shock controller, and if u have a problem with spinning out too much, try drifting with a four wheel drive car. may i suggest my settings, which i posted here:

umm....actually sim tires have the worst traction in the game....less than normal tires.....
4WD drifting isn't as fun as FWD or RWD drifting....at least i think so

I Used To drift a 900Hp Skyline... The Nismo 400R With all the mods... It's the car I began Drifting with... But since I tried Sim tires on less powerfull car It seems to slide as much... Which is a good compromise because I don't have to buy all the expensive mods... anyways... I'm just keeping on practicing... With diffrent cars... But thanks for your advice for AWD...

Ehhhhh and by the way the Skyline is almost like a RWD but it has a clutch in the front differential that automatecly engages when power is needed to the front wheels... Well this is how Stock Skylines Works... But When you buy the controller you can change that...

(Y commence à faire chaud à QC!!!! Y fesais au moins 1 degré aujourd'hui!!!! YAYA!!!! Les chars qui sont tUNÉS vont bientot sortir!!! YAYAYAYA!!)

Remarkable Settings..Oh yeah...I bet....And I gaurentee 80% of it is un-needed mods....and I never EVER use sim tires..I hate em..hate em soo bad..you get over 300HP And you won't go anywhere..What a waste...ALLLL Of my 4WD settings involve no suspension/LSD/Toe camber whatever that crap changes..just tires and power and weight...And my RWD settings ONLY involve the breaking power and tires and they both drift flawlessly and effortlessly

Sim Tires all the way. i can control it better and i can also get better smoke INHO compared to like slick or meduim tires. some people say Sim is too hard to contraol and they always spin out. i just say it take Practice!:D

hmmmm, i dont use sim tires cuz of the major spin, but i never really sat down to practice with them. i can drift fine using other tires (usually super slicks or super softs). they get the job done majority of the time for me. i see that in this forum, many people use sim tires, so i guess i'll give it anouther try.

i think super soft are the best thats my opinion, check out my video on this thread called NEW DRIFTING VIDEO and see how i use my super soft tires of long drift and everything you want from fast cornering and good entry ok

sims all the time ... i like when i gun the gas and lose traction. i don't like the super soft etc tires ... dunno know why, just not my style...

the super soft etc tires are too easy in my opinon ... there's no need for gas pressure, just gunning the gas. with sims you need to apply the right pressure and entry speeds etc are more important... you feel more accomplished when you execute the prefect drift on sims... dunno just my opinion.. no beef with you other tire users

That's very interesting..he WANTS to make it harder on himself...Well..You keep up the good work, and while you're strugging with the "x" button's pressure..I'll be five or six corners ahead of you ^_^

agreed, its much more satisfying when u drift with the wheels on full counterlock and u steer only by varying the throttle. though its infinitely harder than drifting with say a 4 wheel drive 1000bhp car on slicks :D

i downloaded Cudaman Gran Drifto series awhile back and tried drifting with X button and that was no good so i bought a logitech wheel. so sims are hella lot more fun not harder. hehe super soft tire user you! bah!!
