Try unplugging your pedals from your wheel then plug then back in that happens to me sometimes

Do you have warranty? If you do then you could possible get a free replacement from Logitech, without having to through the hassle of trying to fix it.

Logitech usually give a 2 year warranty for their products, worth checking.

The link from arora is nice, but it's too much work for me.

If you're lazy like me, you have photos of pots there. After opening pedals, spray the contact cleaner in spray inside them (not too much, but don't be shy with it). Then fully press the pedals few times (15?20? you can do more), so the cleaner gets everywhere and cleans whole working range of potentiometer. Then wait about half an hour, so it dries out and you can go back to playing, everything should be fine.

I had problems only with accelerator, but I cleaned all the pots when I opened my pedals. Using contact cleaner might be better than cleaning it manually, because it not only cleans the pots, but also oils them.

Is the acceleration pedal not working at all, or is it lagging/jamming/sticking?
If it's not working at all it's probably something wrong with the potentiometer, either a contact that's got loose or the potentiometer itself that is broken.

If it's another problem, please describe the symptoms. I've recently opened up my pedals to fix the brakes, so I got a pretty good idea of what's going on in there :P

Try moving the Wire in different directions as mine only works in certain positions as otherwise my Brakes just get stuck on.. >_<

Oh yeah, mines 3 years old so I cannot get a replacement..

I bought it from gamestop well over a year ago but the acceleration peddle don't work then out of nowhere it works but you have no control the car basically drives itself. But the break peddle works perfect

So the accelerator sticks? Does it change at all if you press/depress it, or is it stuck at the same level? Does it change as you apply weight to the plastic cover? Is it stuck by default or does it happen immediately after you pressed or after pressing it a few times?

It goes when my foot is not on it. I can press it up and down and nothing happens.

Okay. Get a screwdriver and open it up, take a look at the potentiometer. Check the contacts and see if anyone of them is loose. See if there's any difference between the potentiometer for braking and the potentiometer for acceleration. They should be the same.

The potentiometer is the round metallic case which is connected to the pedal through cogwheels. Each potentiometer has three wires connected to it. Don't unscrew them or touch them in any way, all you need to do is to take a look at them where they are and see if there's a difference between the one connected to the brake pedal and the one connected to the gas pedal.

If you can, it might be good to take a photo of it and post it here.
