My father has cancer.

I found out early this morning when I got a call from my oldest brother. The doctor says it's stomach cancer. I don't know all the details, all I know is that this means I'm taking an immediate trip to San Antonio, Texas. Just wanted to let you all know.

As all the people on this thread, I am sorry to hear about it. Is it terminal? or maybe they just found about it. I hope there is still chance to save your father. After all, hope is the last thing you lose.
 
Hope that this has been discovered in the early stages and can be effectively treated.

I hope the best of luck to your father's cancer issue. Stay confident, and supporting to your father. He will overcome this problem for sure. Just be confident.

Im sad to hear that, i hope everything is goin to be ok, my dad had cancer when i was younger, but that god he was able to overcome it, i hope your dad can too.
 
Concept - sorry to hear about that, man. It's always a hard time.

Having been through this with both parents over the last 6 years, I haave a fair amount of knowledge on the topic of cancer - frankly, I'd rather be without it, but life goes on - so if you have any questions on diagnosis or treatment, feel free to drop me a PM.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Matt. My father also had a breif encounter with cancer himself. I was only a kid, and didn't really understand it much.

Anyway, i hope everything turns out more than great for your dad, and that your family gets through it awesome too.
 
terrible news. As Gil said, I hope it has been detected early and can be treated as effectively as possible. My thoughts are with you and you family.
 
I just got off the phone with my dad. He told me that they found a tumor the size of an apple in his intestine somewhere. So I guess that means it's not stomach cancer. However, the tumor was found to be cancerous. That's all I really know. He wanted to talk to my mom more than me so I just handed her the phone. Yep.
 
wow i really feel bad for you. in your situation the only thing i would think about is to be with with him if you know waht i mean. :( :(
