It took me a week worth of evenings to get to this stage..

So here it is my setup.. Still needs loads of upgrades like brake load cell i'm trying to get will order th8 shifter soon and around christmas time will be getting new pc and two more screens and then will be moving from gt5-6 to iRacing
Let me know what do you think..

Looking good, apart from the cup in the second pic lol
That seat looks really comfortable and I like the idea to angle it. More of a racing feel to it?

As I can see you can adjust the wheel's height, the seat distance and angle!

And plus, your seat looks very cool!

Very good job! Enjoy it:tup:

Thanx guys.. It took me hours to get the seat angles right where I feel like I don't want to get out of it for hours.. I'm 6'5'' so it looks like there is big distance between the wheel and the seat but for me it's just right and the centre of the wheel is ruffly at my shoulder level this is I do believe how it is in real racing cars and yes it is very comfortable seat came out of rx8 from the breakers yard for £50 with air bag just incase lol

Love that seat, nice rig too. I'm using an rx7 seat in my rig. But it is old! Might have to source out one of these, or a nice, plush, fully electric, heated caddy seat...
Looks good though. Just need that ebrake and shifter now.

Thanx, yes first of all new PC then two more screens and then shifter and ebrake thats the plan. I wouldn go for leather seat cos my pants gets soaked after few sessions (and I mean by sweat nothing else lol)

Haha, likely cover! J/k, j/k. If you are going PC sim, I suggest looking at this.

At first I was thinking of going triples. But I think I will wait for the production version of the oculus rift instead. It will put you into a place of immersion that triples just cant get too.

That Occulus video just blew my mind. I'd seen some other things, but not a flight sim like that. Wow.

Oh yes this looks impresive allthougth I have some doubts about not being able to see what my hands doing and this might be a problem with button boxes and such. What's the cost going to be..?

Nice job on your rig Belamiejus, I built mine out of metal tubing as well. The only advice I could offer you is to keep your TV/monitor at the mid level to your eye line. Same as galleries hang there photos, your eye line is at the mid level of your TV. One other thing, did you paint or did you have it powder coated? powder coating offers a superior finish, paint will eventually peel off.

I went with triple 55" Sony HDTV's and IMO it is much better then the rift will ever be. I envelope my rig with the three panels, about 80°

Thank you. Tv sits more less at level you described as for tubing I used my old king size bed frame which was painted and left like that till I figure out shifter ebrake and other fittings and then it will get powder coated I think.. Oh and yes WoW what a fantastic cockpit you race in.. Bit by bit I will get to your stage.. I hope..

Well that is great re use of materials Belamiejus, I commend you for your ingenuity. You obviously have talent for building and I look forward to your future build.

If you cant get it powder coated you can also go with caliper paint. I recently upgraded my playseat evo to remove the center support. I used 2 coats of etching primer and 3 coats of Duplicolor caliper paint. After 24 hours of drying you really need to do something dramatic to get it to scratch.

I'll keep that in mind, some people go out and buy a couple cans of aerosol paint without any primer. I had bought a rig a few years ago from a reputable company and within one week there were paint chips everywhere. Just a cheap paint job to save a few bucks. I later sold that rig.
