today was my first day of high school, and well,i liked it a little, but classes seem, slow, and extremely long, and the teachers are very boring, except mr.whateverhisnameis hes our english teacher, very cool guy

My classes are slow and extremely long. Each class I take is 2 hours and 20 minutes long.

My classes, are 1 hour i think, and 7 classes a day,and yes there are hot chicks, but i cant look at them when me and my girlfriend are making-out in the hall

my first day was tuesday. it was alright, i'm taking the easiest schedule in the world.

i'll always remember tuesday though. after i went to school me and my one friend went golfing ( i shot a terrible game) and we started 4 wheelin with the kart, and I ran my friend over. He's alright though it hurt his knee but that's it. It was sooo funny. We were going full speed and he got up and reeched over into and tried to step on the wheel well, well his foot slipped hit the tire, flipped him around and I ran over his leg and shoulder.

ah memories.

Ohh poor Dessy...

We have 4- 130 min classes each day, and a total of 8 classes(we have A-days and B-days, it works pretty well).

Some classes go slow like Bio 1 and Academic lab(scientific for study hall...)but surprisingly this semester I ended up with the funniest Geometry and English teachers, and the others aren't too bad(but my Spanish 2 teacher is from Spain...her english is pretty piss-poor or lack there of, and she's strict, we can only go to the bathroom 2 times a semester from her class, and she won't let us pack our stuff up till the bell or after at times(it's my last class on A-days, I usually make a mad dash for the "big yella turd" a.k.a bus to reserve my own seat by the winder were I can be marginally ignored while listening to the piss-poor suspension, the trans missing a gear every now and then, and the smell of overheated brakes(smells like dead animal)while being bounced in all directions even on newly repaved smooth as glass roads as I'm on my 40 min ride from a school that's freggin 2 miles from my house!!!)anyhoo the bus sucks and it sucks hard.

But school isn't really that bad...in Egrish I gots a seat right in der back of der room by my teach's I-mac, which generates heat with keeps me nice and cozy cause the damn school is 60 degrees, which I figured out was a scam to keep the kids awake, but I sit by a nice girl sorta in my own realm. Same with Geometry...I gots a great view of the piss-poor Parkway delivery trucks droping off old food machines and picking up trash and leaving which only happens when I have that class, and it's a good show.

Oder than that...school is school like it's always been...

Ohhh did I say piss-poor?

heh

That's how my english teacher reads books and really talks in general...he's funny as all get out...

you yanks with your junior and high school and sopohmore crap..\

Why does america have to be different from everyone else?!?

Yeah what level is high school in America

High school is usually years 9-12, or Freshmen, Sophmore, junior, senior.

And I can't walk, the road that goes over the highway is of highway status(don't even try to walk there, you will be killed by people going 90+ leaving school and there's a ton of construction)and the other bridge is being redone totally, with no space to walk at all, and again you would be killed by the tons of trafic that goes there. Now, there is another way, but that takes me very far out of the way.

See how this crap works?

what does everyone else have, that is outside of the :usa:?

we have preschool, kindergarden, then years 1-8 (7&8 being considered junior high) and years 9-12 is high school.

what are the years everywhere else, and whats it called?

back in Argentina is like that, preskool, kindergarden, then 1-7, and then 8-12.

1-7 is called primary school
8-12 secondary school, they don't count it as 8-12 though, after 7th grade it's like it starts all over, it's 1-5 that's secondary school, but for u American guys it would be 8-12

The way it works here:

Preschool (Ages 3-5, not mandatory)

Elementary School:
Kindergarten
Grades 1-5

Middle School:
Grades 6-8

High School:
Grades 9-12

High school started Aug. 19th for me (my first year too! :) ). My schedule is...

2nd Period: X-Country
3rd: English 9
4th: Honors Alg. 2/Trig
5th: Computer App.
6th: Spanish 1
7th: AP Biology

Interestingly enough, the two advanced classes have been the easiest... My Spanish teacher isn't too smart, and assigns us way too much homework, and, on top of that, really doesn't teach us anything... all of my learning is done at home, because during class all she does is have us pronounce the word 2 times, then moves on. Cross Country is tiring... I run from 6:30 am to about 8:00 am... Comp. App. is boring as hell... I never signed up for it, but my counselor put me in it to "fullfill my Prac. Arts graduating requirement." In fact, I'm actually typing this post up from Comp. App... when we're done with our assignment for the day, we're allowed to go on the net.

Anyway, {blah blah blah blah}...

One school around where I live does it in quadmesters or something like that... you basically have a 3 hour class... lunch.. then another 3 hour class then you go home.

bloody hell i got it easy compared to u guys, i have 5, 1 hour lessons (50 mins really) and 25 min break after the first two lessons and 1 hour lunch after the next 2

And PS1, we've been living in the same house for 19 years, and I'm not even 16 yet...not that that is a bad thing, just prooving a point...
