Today I acquired a Driving Force GT racing wheel for GT5.
I love it!

Please share any tips, on how to correct oversteer! Thank You!

Here's my first try :)

tips on how to correct oversteer: It looks like you weren't countersteering quite enough there, but I'm sure you'll get used to it. Be a bit easier on the throttle aswell, when turning a sharp corner. It'll take a while to get used to using the pedals and wheel but once you do it's really fun :)

Not enough counter steer?
When the rear slips, I have no idea where the front wheels are facing, and how far to turn the wheel.

Yup, training-training and more training!

(thanks for reply)

you did great actually, just need to be careful with the throttle. most cars will do that.. if you slow down for a right turn, then hard turn and hard accelerating into the next turn. 60 percent of the time the car will slide, or spin out if you slam on the gas. also if the car has strong torque. this will occur. just be gentle with the pedal, and know your vehicle. you will know what cars you can push around the corners and which ones you have to be gentle.. practice makes perfect.

another tip to know where your steering wheel is at at all times, take a color tape anything that stick out from the steering wheel color. and tape it to the top center of the steering wheel. you will always see it with peripheral vision. sort of like in this video.

notice the red tape on the steering wheel

I was thinking of doing that! Right now I placed a long peace of Sticky Note there. Really helps!

Also, what settings are You using? Force feedback strength...etc.?

And another thing, when the car slides, the steering wheel turns in opposite direction by itself. Is that suppose to happen? Feels weird...

i keep my force feedback setting at 10 just my preference though i like to feel the road. and steering settings on simulation.

its normal for the steering wheel to fight back. its called centrifugal force. if you turn the wheel of the car on a stand still the wheel wont move or return to center position, just like in real life. as soon as you press the gas the steering wheels begins to straighten out. the wheels always want to point in the direction the car is moving. even when your sliding. because the front of the car is no longer the point of direction of the vehicle, the side of the car becomes the point of direction so the wheel wants to straighten out in that direction...

hope that wasn't too confusing

Ah, I see! It wasn't confusing, everything is clear. Thanks!

P.S. I'm making huge progress! But I should forget about drifting and power sliding for a while, because every slide ends up in sandgrasswall =)

yeah forget the slides for now. ive had the dfgt for over a year now , and im just starting to learn how to drift with it.. drifting with the wheel, and racing are very different from one another

i had this problem when i first got my g27. one thing i read somewhere that helped me alot is then your rear slides just do that same thing you would do when you are driving in the snow. seems pritty selfexplanitory but i never put 2 and 2 togeather XD

My first clean lap at Nürburgring!

I was using a custom Ford Mustang GT.
TCS - 1
ABS -1

Update! Time passed, and I decided to try that Caterham again!
TCS - 0
ABS - 0
Sport hard tires. (Standard)

And I decided to test my luck, so I chose Nurburgring with changing weather and time!
The race was fun. Caterham is harder to keep on the road when going through high speed corners.
With the steering wheel, you can clearly feel the difference between cars! Love it!
Time= 9:15:927

I think music fits perfectly!
