Hey guys, below is a link to my first build, i'm trying to get it as cheap as possible as i am a student. Trying to stay below $1800 CAN by deal shopping etc. I have already purchased the CPU but thats it. Anyone have any suggestions for parts that will cheaper or as good? Or if something i am looking at is crap?

Anything helps,

Thanks!

I would've gone for a Ryzen R5 1600 or a coffee Lake i5 instead of the 7600K. The 7600K is on a dead platform now (meaning you won't be able to upgrade to a newer generation CPU), and an increasing amount of games are using more than 4 cores and 4 threads.

Seeing as you've already purchased the CPU though - https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Rng4KZ
  • Picked a better CPU cooler
  • Cheaper motherboard
  • Cheaper SSD
  • Cheaper model 1070
  • Upgraded the PSU
If you're able to though, I'd recommend returning the CPU and buying either a Ryzen R5 1600 or an i5 8600K instead.
