I recently purchased FH5 on the PS5 about a month ago. I had never played any Forza games before because I never bothered to get an Xbox. To me the XBox was always linked to shooters Halo , Gears of War etc.. And really only game I wanted to was Forza because I love racing games. When Forza Horizon 1st came out I didn't really care for it so I didn't really pay attention to it especially since I would probably never play it. That how it was until I found that MS was going to start bringing their 1st party games to the PS5. That was good but they never bring Forza Motorsports or Forza Horizon to the PS5 right? Well they did bring FH5 out. I didn't get it right away as I have moved away from getting games 1st day heck even the 1st couple of months. I waited for it to go on sale and I got it.
I had read that cars and money come too easy in Forza and I was prepared for that. I was thinking after the 1st day I might have bunch of money and cars. TBH with the ultimate edition I got the car pass and some other cars so I think off the bat I had 90 cars. At first I didn't like the physics the cars felt like they were on ice and very oversteery. It took me a little while to get use to the physics and now it is not as much of an issue. I used a car voucher to get my favorite car of all time the Speed 12 for free. I painted it a purplish color and I tuned it to my liking. I didn't realize that I could download tunes until I was working tuning the Speed 12. I looked at a lot of them but most of the ones with good handling had AWD drivetrains so I ended doing myself. I don't mind the drivetrain swaps but some cars like the Speed 12 don't need AWD. Anyway I love that car in this game. I think I used it one street race but mainly I use it a lot in free roam. One stretch of highway I was able to get it up 205 mph. Wondeful. Now let get to what I like about this game:
I like the selection of cars in the game. There is literally something for everyone and for the most part each car has it's own personality which I have to take my hat of the PG Games. As much as the auction house is hated I love it. I probably spend half of my time in the game there. I think I just like bargain hunting. I think the most I have for any car in the auction house is 1 milion cr. It helps that I am not looking for anything specific and I usually try to get stuff with 1 minute remaining. I still lose out on vehicles but I win a lot too. The issue I keep running into is I forget which cars I already have so I end up buying dupes. Like I am 3 1986 Mustang SVOs. I got one with the car pass I forgot about and I bought 2 from the auction. I also love the stories mainly the Vocho that to me is a great story. I guess as I have gotten older and I have seen a lot of family members leave I can appreciate that story and creating a legacy. I haven't finished all of the stories but that one is probably not going to be topped. I love wheelspins and the cars they give. Recently though it has been like the tickets from GT7 I have been getting a lot of 5k cr spins. RAcing is pretty good for the most part. Like how they recommend cars for you to use. I also like the livery editor while I think GT7s is better is still good. I love the barn finds as well. Now on to what I don't like.
I don't like the rubberband AI in races. I don't like the boards on top on house and buildings. I also don't like the character customization and the people looked kinda terrible. I missed out on all of FOMO but in order to get a good chunk of the cars in the backstage pass area you have to do the Festival playlist to be able to get a backstage pass or enough Forzathon points to but one. So I wish they made it so that once you have access to the backstage that you are able to buy cars from there. I also didn't like when I tried the Hot Wheels DLC the next time I started the game I was still in the Hot Wheels area. This was even though I restarted the game and I had chose a different to start from.
Overall I have enjoyed this game and I will continue to enjoy it. I haven't really done too much in the event lab I won't comment on that. But I will continue to enjoy this unitl I get FH6 whenever that is

One thing I wish they had in FH5 was some history about the cars. That is one thing I miss from GT7. FH5 has all of these wonderful cars but there's n history on them. That really sucks to me.

well 57 hours in and I am still enjoying the game. I have most of the festival unlocked. When I look at my stats I see 20 hours driving. I spend a lot of time in the auction house. So much so that I have bough a lot of dupes because I can't remember which vehicles I already have. So recently I started either gifting cars or sell them in the auction house. I think I am going to start doing some dirt racing now. This game will continue to hold me until 6 comes out.

Well still enjoying the game right now I have almost 500 cars. I still spend an inordinate amount of time in the auction house and I am trying to cut down on that. I made it to the hall of fame but I still have a lot to do. I started working through some of the playlists. I also tried rivals last week and I found out I don't need PS+ for that. The one thing I am struggling with is the event lab. Do you have to drive your track you create? I think that sucks. But I guess I will learn to work around that.
