In his bedroom.
As soon as I've started playing the game, I had a lot of fun. Especially with the Drivatar Aggression Restraint (Sorry I'm playing french on my XB1 so I'm not sure how it translates to in english.)

From the get-go I was using all kinda mods but when my "Different Mods used" Forza Hub score was full I stopped using Crew mods. Dares and Boosts only.

The Singleplayer career is really good but it's kinda small. 15 championships x 6 times the same sessions per car type is pretty small.

The Showcases however are pretty fun runs. They're all unique and they keep me wanting for more of 'em.

The golden award (My point of view only, of course) is Free-play: This is my often my playground. When I completed all the career race for said car class, I'll buff them up for high speed driving in Free-play.

One advantage is that I'm not into drag racing so I can't complain here but it can be done online with 5 AI's so that's not really a loss to me... (My point of view.)

The worst part is very sadly Multiplayer. Other players cutting corners is constant and when you win you'll sometimes be insulted in the Microphone. (Yeah, yeah. I get it. Welcome to the Internet...)

I was overtaking in a no-collisions League sessions and when the guy in first place saw I was coming for him he started cutting corners to run from me.

I finally managed to catch up and win then he started screaming profanities in his microphone...

Online Forza Motorsport 6 is not for the faint of heart unless you have friends to race with in a private lobby.

Racing online with friends is the best... or even with drivatars sometimes if none of your friends are online! There's so much options that it could last for a huge while!

Here are my Game type ratings.

Career Mode: 7/10 (Kinda enjoyable)
Public Online Mode: 1/10 (A number amongst others on the road.)
Online Mode with friends: Extra 10/10 (With friends, fun is almost never-ending!)
Free Play Mode 10/10 (I have nothing wrong to say about it.)
Showcases Mode: 10/10 (Nothing wrong here either.)

My ratings about sounds, etc.

Menu Sound: 7/10 (The confirm sound is almost all you'll hear.)
Music: N/A/10 (I never have music while playing Forza Motorsport since the 5th one since it's very stressful in the Motorsport part of Forza.)
Car Sound: Dependent on Car/10 (Some cars sound amazing, some are okay, some are meh.)

My ratings about mechanics.

Singleplayer racing: 10/10 (Nothing wrong here at least to me.)
Public Multiplayer racing: 1/10 (I'm not blaming it on Turn10. The players often cut corners and most are sore losers in my past experience. Cut-Corner penalties and ramming penalties would compare the contenders from pretenders.)
Racing with friends: Extra 10/10 (Look at all these options!! Amazing!)

Overall: I'd say it's a very nice 9 out of 10. There's a lot of fun to be had, but you gotta find it elsewhere than public online lobbies. "N/A's" and "Dependent on cars" do not count in the final score.

Very nice review. I pretty much feel the same way about the game. Career could of been a bit better though. I actually preferred the Event List from Forza 4 since there where plenty more of specific events and showed what races your car was eligible in. I hate it that when I want to drive a certain car in the career I have to check if I can use it and I also have to check the PI restriction(and they removed the start button to quickly return to the main menu from Forza 5 :irked:)

I like the game where it is, career-wise. I had hoped to see major innovations in sound, but well... mehh. It is what it is.

Can't wait to experience H3 and FM7. Actually, can't wait to see what GTS reveals next year with Caviezel on their team!

There more I play it, the more I see how shallow it is, but you have to expect that. The career mode and then the free for all 'volumes' is about typical for a Forza game. Its clear they didnt spend a lot of time with that but then its not a selling point is it?

The Turn 10 devs are planning to create a third Forza series of games by the way from what I've seen on this webpage.

They did not say anything about what it would be or when they plan to release such a thing though.

how can this not be a thing? bit of that dirt codemasters demographic

Hopefully the Co-Pilot won't scream insults at the player if they mess too much around... Rally Fusion, V-Rally and the such were nightmares at this angry Co-Pilot thing.

@BrunetPaquet
Online racing is like that with EVERY racing game. You have a few jerks here and there. Usually the jerks are voted out of the room. Forza actually has one of the better, more laid back communities out of any racing game series I have played. There are much worse racing communities by a longshot. Giving it a 1/10 for the online is a bit overkill imo. The online is actually very good in this game. I would however like them to take care of some of the corner cutting, that was not a major issue in the other Forza games because they had sticky grass. But people complained about the sticky grass, so they removed it. What you get now, is corner cutting. Again those that keep cheating, usually get vote kicked from the room.

It IS a thing. That thing is called the Horizon series. All the dirt, water, rain, night, dynamic, off road racing you could ask for. I highly recommend Forza Horizon 2. ;)

No, it isn't. What really does sell Forza are the physics and engine sound accuracy. Well, those are two major selling points anyway. I wish forthcoming Forzas would retain the really great stuff from previous games. Forza 6 does plenty to please in the physics department, visuals are okay too... but I'm still sour about the way sound got done. Weiz and Caveizel were two of the stars responsible for FM4 and 5's stellar audio design. They ain't a part of T10 no mo.

Hmm, this is good and bad. Good that they're branching out. Bad that they're focusing on other stuff whereas they need to fix some glaring issues with the current franchises, particularly the FM franchise.

I don't see how the career mode is being called short. It's not short at all. It's boring since you do have to drive cars to a certain spec but it isn't short. I'm only 50% at driver level 196 and many days in the game.

Forza should include rally racing instead of making a seperate series, as long as the game is great, I'll be okay with it though.

A seperate series works much better because it'll allow the focus to be primarily on that subject, instead of fondling in a bunch of different areas. With a precise focus it'll be able to achieve much more.

There's 'rally' and then there's 'rally'. Strangely Forza has seen both sides of the spectrum.

One is the Forza Horizon Rally DLC which is as about as dry and 'no frills' as possible. That is time courses where you get best out of 4 stages.

No fanfare, no fluff, even Dirt's shenanigans beats it for flavor. Initially I hated it as was so serious over the 'carnival atmosphere' of Horizon but I actually dont mind it.

Then there's clown shoes "rally" of Horizon 2 which is pretty much crazy taxi mixed with midnight club.

We dont want any of that to be honest.

There has to be a middle ground and I think that is a Dirt 3 style system. I think that would make everyone happy.
