My garage of 1200 wont load online

Whenever I get into a room and start looking for a car in my standard garage, which has 950 standards. The game freezes. About 40 percent of the time. Usually in larger rooms with more people. Sometimes I'll let it sit and eventually the clock will stop spinning and it'll load, other times it freezes my entire ps3.

Also I have 1600 paint chips and they take about a minute to load.

Cmon already!
 
My garage froze once when it had 600 cars. I went to the standard cars tab, sort by max power, freeze. Clock never stopped spinning though.
 
I have long load times for paint chips I'm not gonna lie :\ It would be nice if they were categorized initially by the first manufacturer instead of "All" and then if you felt like waiting a minute you could load all.. but meh what're you gonna do.
 
can you confirm, that this is realy about the number of cars you have?
I had simmilar issues (7xx cars) online but i related it to bad inet connections among the lobby and all participants.
I think if you will create a new user with 0 cars, you might experience the same issue online. Maybe try it (join full room in america, europe and asia) and further verify the cause ?!
 
It happen to me too, I've 8xx standards, when I tried to sort by weight, the litle clock stops, not even the PS button works.
 
i tested this on the weekend a bit during online racing.
It seems as if its not too good to visit the garage a couple of times before a race if you have more than 7xx cars (currently at 820).
The host had some low pp level set up and i browsed my std cars for something suitable (which also had sport softs)...
the 4th or 5th time i went to the garage the game froze up and i needed to pull the power... i guess its due to the low memory the ps3 has.

retested again, and was safe while visiting the std garage max.twice.
Another way of resolving the issue is to organize the favorite list....
 
I have somewhere in the range of 700 standards and was running into the same problem. I added 100 to my favorites and just avoid the standards tab when playing online.
 
i have about 1200 paints , it takes about 15 seconds to load. i cannot imagine ill ever have 1000 cars , i need another 600 !
