My gearbox settings won't show in Sport mode with BOP

Hey guys,

I try to practice fir the next race in the manufacturer series.
I adjusted the gearbox in the garage, saved the settings. But when I start the sport mode and go to free practice in the manufacturer series, my gearbox is back to standard.
Why is that?
Maybe u guys can help me.
I feel I could be faster with my gearbox setting.

You probably could. Unfortunately, FIA races are fixed settings. Everyone races with the same set-up.

I get that they restrict tuning and horsepower, but gearbox settings?
That's not cool.
