I don't really know where to start this from so here goes nothing. There are 13 grandchildren on my dads side of the family ranging in age from about 6(?) to 20. I am the oldest being 20 years old. At the beginning of last summer, we lost my grandpa due to emphysema and other lung related problems. Anyone who smokes, if you saw what he went through, you would probably never smoke again. But anyway, instead of throwing out all of his shirts, she made them into pillowcases and gave one to each person in the family. That comes out to be like 25 pillowcases. I just thought that this was the coolest thing ever and it kinda brought us together. We had this discussion about what shirt he wore for yardwork, dress shirts, etc. It was just really cool of her to do this 👍 Merry Christmas everyone and goodnight.

Discuss.

That is really nice. :)👍 Very thoughtful of her.

Wow, thats really neat! Take some pics for us!

Way to go Grandma! 👍

When my dad died, mom tossed everything out or gave it to the Salvation Army. That really pissed me off because I always wanted his leather jackets and his hats.

Heres a pic I just snapped. If you look closely, you can see the buttons and the pocket as well as my feet in the bottom 👍

Awesome idea, and a great way to have Grandpa "there" at a time he was probably missed the most. It will definitely be something you can pass down later on to your own kids, or keep with you wherever you go to remind you of him. 👍

Cool idea, but I don't know how comfortable buttons would be.

I think a nice throw or quilt would've been a cool idea as well.

Its definitely cool to have but I cant sleep on it because the pillow is so puffy. My current pillow is very flat, I just cant stand the really puffy, thick pillows. It's awesome nonetheless.
