My gt5 is US copy

I have been having problems in the past with DLCs that don't show up on my downloads,it always says dlc no purchased content found.
Now that I have looked on the game disc is has BCUS and some numbers.
Bought the game second hand copy from Gamestation UK store.
If I buy a new copy would the DLCs iv downloaded now work?and would I need to uninstall and start all over again now I have reached level 38.

Any help.

Yes u should be able to buy a PAL or EURO version and your save data should be fine, I would back up on a flash drive just in case.
 
I think GT5's save file is region locked, had similar problems and many people confirmed that it is region locked, double check before you get a new disc
 
If it creates a second game save and you're still having trouble I'd make sure you download the GT Family Share thing from the PSN. The downloads should be fine since they're from the PSN of the same region as you, and the family share thing should help make sure you're US save doesn't somehow hog your DL's.

If you have US game, PAL (UK) Store DLC will not be compatible.

In the same time, your original US gamesave will not be compatible with PAL-UK game disc (if you opt to buy one).

Sorry for you man. Only way to save yourself from redoing the complete game again would be purchasing DLC content on the US store where your disc *belongs* (for which you will need US account and US-PSN-Store wallet).

Gamestation fault, they've should have notice you it is not PAL copy. Almost none of regional DLC from any Store for any game does not work on discs from other regions. It is the business-model of the overall gaming industry and another reason to watch when you buy second-hand games.

However, with introduction of Seasonals and such, I would recommend you to buy Platinum UK-PAL release of GT5 (can be found very cheap these days) and start the game again. You can pretty much reap the Levels and completion percentage with new Seasonals in matter of one day (you can ask some friend to put Ferrari F1 car on Share and make Lv 1-35 in few races).

To get a US PSN to access the US store you would need a new account on your PlayStation. Gamesaves can't be shared between different accounts so I'm afraid there's no way to get the DLC and keep your gamesave.

I went out and bought a new copy of the game now all DLCs have now installed:)I did trade back the old game for a basketball game just to get rid of it.
Now to start all over again but I guess its worth it now my dlc cars now work.
