Like the title says, i am having problems with my GTR, it understeers too much, even when i slow down an coast through the corner, it tends to understeer straight into the wall.

I have no problems with my rx7 TC, and i can take corners at much faster speeds with the rx7.

Is there some trick to driving the GTR? I thought it was supposed to be a really good handling car.

Are you on cs tires, flying into the corners too fast, braking through the corners? There isn't any race in all of the game that the car qualifies for that I can't easily win. The car handles perfectly, I am not sure why you would be having trouble with it.

It's a very heavy car, so you really have to take it easy on entry to a corner, but with incredible 4wd traction the exit is where you'll gain most time. Take it easy going in, but floor it upon the apex and you'll do good.

Most 4wds tend to understeer so it's a good idea to stick with FRs and MRs. RRs are really good fun as well.

It is a really good handling car. Brake earlier, exit faster. That car hunts to the apex better than most cars in the game, stock.

AWD will tend to under steer naturally, out of the box stock this car very good. Tuned this thing is an uber beast.

Thanks for the replies guys, i have been braking late as if i was driving a lotus elise.

What can i do to tune the car so it is more forgiving?

Could be a few things:
-- Your camber/caster/toe angles could be too high, this could either reduce the size of the tires' contact patch with the track surface resulting in loss of traction, or just make the tires fight against each other resulting in a mess. Reset suspension settings to stock.
-- You may be using comfort or sports/hard tires. Install Sports medium or better tires.
-- You may be braking while turning, which overloads the tires' traction limit. Brake in a straight line first, then after you have slowed down, turn without using the brakes.

Hope this helps... have fun! That GTR Black is a good car.

I remember you recently got a G27 too? Maybe it could be something to do with still getting used to it....thats if its you who I'm thinking of anyway..

I found the stock car to drive extremely well. Much faster around the 'Ring than the 07 model on OEM tires. Leave it alone and adjust your driving style to suit the car. If you do, your car control skills will improve and you could be faster in all of your cars.

Kinda the same but different my aventador is a beast but can't take a corner in having the same problem as him I'll brake coast and turn and boom in a wall or in the grass

Find a good tune in the tuning forum and try that.

If you're still having problems it's your driving.

If it fixes your problem it was the tune.

Brake biasmore to the back for the car to slide out abit and the power to the back wheel more(forgot whats it called)
