hey, you guy's with these GT3 drift vid's are SICK. the 86 instructional vid, countersteer zero by silvia drifter, ect. i do this every weekend with my drift club and to see you guy's do'n the same on GT3 as good as you guy's are is just hot! i did'nt mean to start a thread just to tell you guy's how great you are but i just wanted to make sure my point got across. who's the cat that does the 360 whip into a sick drift? any way i look forward to many more vid's from you guy's when ever i get time to watch them. oh, don't laugh, but can any of you guy's drift the F1 car's? i would almost pay $$ to see that!!!

There are quite a few people on these boards that can do 360's into drifts (myself included)... Thio, and Bazz are quite good at the ol' 360...

As for the F1 cars... I have drifted them before, but it's quite hard what with the insane downforce, and soft tires...I have a hybrid F1 car (F666/Silvia) that will make an apearance in the next IDM Video Magazine, so keep a look out for that...

Welcome to gtp drift punk, and in no you cant drift in a f1 cause thows cars have good grip,so you cant go saidways,but if you had a hybrid f1,well that other story.
 
It's hard to get an F1 into a drift, but very easy to keep it there. Try going into the first corner at Apricot Hill WAY too fast.

nah...just take all the downforce off the car and stiffen the suspension up and remove the camber from the rear. you'll be surprised how much the F1 car will slade around, especially the the older ones.

That being said they aren't the easiest cars to "drift" but it can be done.

You end up power sliding more than anything.
 
Hey drift punk welcome to GTP. Well there already a video of someone who drifted with F1 cars. do a search for it.

If you ever need help with drifting or have questions i'm always happy to help.

hybrid???how in the world do you do that??!! i never seen IDM Video mag, is it sold everywhere? if i can't find it, will you P-L-E-A-S-E post some pic's. the guy's in the club would freak, lol !!!

**edit** OMG, i just seen silviadrifter's car pic's , i also have a freak'in 93 240 coupe!! but mine's black, 5spd, 1,1400.00 m. i had to rip out all the carpet and cargo carpet and the passenger seat and toss it, yes it was that bad. since then i've bought a seat at the junk yard in near perfect condition and orderd factory matched carpet from A.C.C (autocustomcarpet). i just recently changed the belts and gave her a tune up, it run's so smooth now. the only problem i have is that it hit's the rev limiter @ 5 K, i think the ESU has some slight problem's. where are you from? we meet every saturday in baltimore M.D. and go practice drifting. we don't judge people on how many mod's you car has or any of that crap, it's how cool you are and if your willing to "SLING WHAT YOU BRING".
 
don't mean to double post but i just wacthed more vid's , team FBI , these cat's are sick too!!! i'm a gamer from way back, waaaaaay back, my parents would litery have to drag me from the arcades when i was a kid, then came the consoles, forget about it. it's just great to see such high skill level from all you guy's.........much respect from a O.G.........(original gamer) lol

Very easy with hybrids. I posted one in my sig (my car videos) and the F1 has 20" wheels too just to show it can be done. About 30 seconds in is one of the best drifts with the F1 that I have ever done. 👍

you can make a hybrid with a xport or gameshark.

thank's guy's!!!!!!! one more question, i read in PSM awhile back and the creator of the GT series said that GT4 was have a drift compition or "series" like the D1GP, but it was gonna be called something else. is this still on or did they do away with it?

I live in Washington State...

My coupe is in near perfect condition (besides a bunch of really small dings, probably from people openning their doors into it)... I finished installing Brembo Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors a few weeks back... I also, cleaned and painted my calipers (alluminum silver), and installed new brake pads... As I'm sure you've noticed, I half smoked the taillights and the front and side indicators... The only engine mod I have installed thus far is an intake, but the KA24DE has plenty of power to destroy any Hondas I come in contact with, as well as many cars with more power...

It's nice to meet another 2g S13 owner... You should check out the Nissan Performance Zone

As cool as SD is, he didn't make IDM. Lifewater, Xsyorra and CMD came up with it. SD is our technical director and recruiting officer. And he does a great job.

Very true.. IDM has evolved to a point where it runs itself, for the most part... However, that is to take nothing away from all the work Lifewater and CMD do... They are the real stars of IDM...

such a great thing you guy's got go'n. hey, i'm go'n out to a huge drift meet this weekend, it's suposed to be like 50 people coming, more than likely 15, you know how people are, anywho, there gonna shoot video of me , would i be allowed to post it here or is that a big no? oh, and does anybody know any free video hosting sites?

i said awhile back how talented you guy's are, DR, FBI, Suzuki, etc., i noticed some of you do that sick 360 whip drift, but, who's next to step up, or , progress this gt3 drifting era with a 720 whip drift?.........is that a challenge from me to you???

Hmm, i havent tried the 360* into a drift, and im sure its really hard to get down. hmm in that case, imma start praticing(sp) on that, maybe i can include it in my vid that should be out soon.
