I think my town's Wikipedia entry tops the Scale of Interesting.

Lysterfield is also a place where people raise alpacas, and grow many vegetables, including a large sprout farm.

My town's City Hall was the school in There's Something About Mary. Caddyshack was also shot here (Doodie!). It's also the hometown of Tori Lane and Timothy McVeigh. And I watched the olympic flame go down my street in 1996 when they ran it from Atlanta to south Florida and back.

My place of birth is shared with Robert Cray (not as cool as Mr. Dale, but still a great guitarist), The Big Hurt, John Stith Pemberton, along with a bunch of base and football players. Apparently Donna D'Errico and Justin Guarini resided there for a while, too (Meh). It's also the home of the world headquarters for Aflac.
