my idea for crashing in gt3

in the gt series when you hit a wall at over 100 mph you just hit the wall and kind of bounce off. but when in a real race if you hit a certain angle the car and pretty much rebound off the wall and back on the track etc. i would like to see this in the game, maybe not real damage, but to make hitting the walls at high speed like real life.

ok think about this.
if you have ever hit the opening of the pit stop you just come to a direct stop, you hit it and you hit zero, no reverse movement nothing. i would have liked to seen the car go out of control.

That would be good to see. Wouldn't have been that difficult to put it in the game. I remember I read a review saying that the AI was boring and they followed the same line every time. This is totally untrue. The AI will actually adapt to driving and start to get careless when you put pressure on them. I smack em into walls and sling them into the dirt. I've caused multi-car collisions. It's great.

Have you noticed the AI can not drive on worn tires, and that they just suddenly go bad just before they pit for tyres?

Nah, didn't know that. I was feelin kinda jewed because my tires were in the red and the other cars hung to the road like usual. But I haven't done any endurance races yet. Just your typical 10 lappers.

I have noticed the AI can't drive at all. They have no sense of other cars, and many a time I have gotten the racing line into a corner only to have some AI car smack my backend and send me spinning into the dirt. On a real track, they would be penalised, in GT3 its ignored, which is like rewarding them.

I'd have to say that the AI in GT3 disappointed me a tiny bit! All the previews I read where promising excellent AI that would hold grudges if you'd knocked them for 6 and the such, having played the game for ages (currently 77.6% done:) ) i have yet to see this!

I remember once racing on SS5 i think and was coming round to lap the GT40 by the entrance to the pits, I saw him heading for the pits so thought lets be evil, I cut to the inside and deflected him away from the pit lane and he carried on driving! Didn't pit on the next lap either!!

I've also managed to spin the opponent on the rally races with it having no apparent grudge for me, mind you they had a bit of a task catching my EVO VII prototype:p

i can also remember the computer controlled FTO GP version having some trouble on the tight hairpin on Apricot Hill, it just flew off the track, I don't remember if it was a long race, but it was having quite a bit of trouble!!

First saw it in a ten lapper - was running a slightly superior car but on superhard tyres at Laguna Seca - I was tracking this race spec NSX trying to set up a pass at turn one, so I was making sure I was nice and close at the corkscrew. He fell off for no reason at the right hander after the bridge and immediately stopped for tyres.

Seen it a couple of times.

for me, AI is really weak and its really no fun to run against them with cars that are more power so i try to use cars that are about the same amout of performance or alittle less. Its more fun for me.
