I hate the oil change. It is the most pointless aspect in all of GT3. Why are we forced to change the oil in our cars when other maintenance, like brake pads, transmission fluid, and new tires are not included? What about filling a car with gas? That might disuade some gamers from buying big-engine cars without the money to fill them up.

This might have something to do with the fact that I changed my oil immediately before entering the GT All-Stars Professional series, and in the middle of the 7th race the oil light came on. What the HELL? How am I supposed to get around this problem? Doggone it!
 
It would be nice if there were just some sort of automatic maintenance between races. Like ding you for a 500Cr or something. Cover all the basics. There also needs to be cost to replace tires and such.
 
The only thing tat really bothers me about oil changes is how it messes with yourHP, will it go down or will it go up @_@ scary
 
Is not true. Oil light comes on at 300 km. does not matter how you drive.
For the PD cup pick a car with extra HP and you wont notice it.
For all other long series races buy extra HP for your motor and add it straight away or you can add it just before the oil light comes on.
I have a memory of oil light coming on at about 250 km for a certain race car but cant remember which.
The AI drive so badly that it does not matter.
But Anderton is right, it was badly implemented in the game.
 
I always like to see the difference of a car after a long series event that has just had an oil change, always seems faster.
 
its a bit bothering, able to change oil but not any other parts or accessories or other maintenance needed. but it does give you a considerable amount of hp after changing. i got at least 15 more hp.
