Phew it was close, a stupid mistake nearly lost a very easy race 
im ok now 
. Basically, I had just got an Audi Pikes Peak, tuned to 768bhp on soft sport tyres I just wanted to drive so chose a 2 lap family cup race on Twin Ring Motegi West. Easy peasy, and the racers were not much of a challenge either. The field being -
Mitsubishi HSR
Corvette Z06
RUF RGT
TVR Cerbera speed 6
TVR Tamora
As well as buying everything for my car I had bought a spoiler for it and gave it a rake for a killer stance
So anyway, race starts normal the cars pull away and I'm up behind the Tamora by the first corner and duck in the inside:
The other cars are still in the same places as started, I overtake the Cerbera before the next corner who messes up in the chicane. The Vette and the RGT are fighting for second on the last corner the RGT pushes the Vette out wide while I sneak round the outside and take 2nd. The HSR has passed the start line and I'm gaining quickly:
I'm up behind by the first corner and hang back just to check out those crazy moving bits, I know I have pretty much got this race sorted anyhow
The other racers are still in the same positions as started, the HSR runs onto the grass at the chicane and I take first and swing round the last corner, a little too fast and go off track
While recovering, the HSR, Vette and RGT pass by and I cut in just before the cerbera. The handy 768bhp gets me back up to speed and I fly up to 2nd again the HSR a fair bit ahead but I'm stomping up the field fast and we're soon side by side I'm just a little bit faster and the finish is in sight:
Still neck and neck
Just.....nosing ahead....
and over the line, 0.088 difference
so there we have it, quite tense for an easy race, and a very good car too.
