i bought this truck last week but just got it last night, its a 1992 GMC SIERRA it has 127,000 miles on the body but the engine (350) was replaced 2 years ago and has around 70,000 miles on it. it has new tires, fuel pump, plugs, cap, rotor, wires. it has some surface rust around the wheel wells (stupid chrome trim) but my friend has a body shop and said he can fix it this summer for me. the best part is that i only payed $1,000 for it 👍

Thats a heck of a deal for only $1,000. Power locks, power windows and its an extended cab so you will be able to fit Rebecca, Mikayla, and Mikinzee. 👍
Have your buddy fix that rust asap so it doesnt become holes. Interior looks nice too. You seriously should get a brush bar for the front considering your bad luck with deer.

yeah that is a good deal, thats what I was telling him too :D

2WD or 4x4?

Hard to tell, since there's no fender badge on the rear quarter.

by the by, that price is pretty common for a 2WD truck of that vintage in my area. It's the 4x4s that are pricey.

I'm going to say it's 2WD, based on the lack of a gearshift for the transfer case.
Not too shabby for a grand. Nice find.

i filled my truck up last thursday (the 13th) and i just had to put gas in it to get home from work, but i got 360 miles out of one tank of gas. not bad for a big truck with a 350 in it ;)

Nice deal, and not a bad looking truck. 👍

How many litres is your tank, and do you have one tank or two?

DRIFT GOD
thanx, i only have one tank and i believe its 25 gallons so it gets around 15 mpg 👍
Yeah thats about right for a truck. Even the brand new Dakota I was going to get only got about 15-18. I said screw that. So we bought another Saturn instead. BOth our saturns get between 30-40mpg. We go 2-3 weeks without filling up and our tanks are only 10gallon. :sly:

You better not keep that thing stock, stock trucks are just so...meh. Need clears (so much better looking then cheese grater faded white) , a new grill, and some nice dual exhaust. But for a grand who can complain? I'd take a full-size for a grand in a heartbeat...then body drop the hell outta her.

This quote was the 2nd reply in the thread and it was from me.
Bro I told you when you first got this truck to get a brush guard for the front. lmao
Sorry to hear about the damage but at least it didnt do as much damage to this this truck like it did your S-10.
Now get a brush guard for that thing!

the truck is all fixed now, it has different headlights now because i got them for free lol, they are actually brighter than what was on it. i had to buy the grill at a junk yard (my kids called it MATER's house lol) for $40.00 and installed everything myself.

i bought this van for my wife to drive, its a 1993 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER SE, it has a 3.3 V6 and its AWD.

i took these pics with my cell phone lol, i will get beter pics with my digital camera this weekend.

these were taken on monday:

these pics were taken today, we got 14 inches of snow last night and these were taken after the driveway had already been plowed once:

Congrats on the new ride. That van will be a lot safer for Rebecca to drive in the winter since its AWD and you will get better gas mileage than your truck. :sly:

Brrrruuuuussssh Guarrrd! Buuyyy a brussshhh guaaaarrd! Hey, you bought the AWD V6 at the right time didn't you? It looks alright. :)

We had a blue one of those......until my dad crashed it, lol. It was a good van from what I remember ( I was only six so... ) but it sucked in the snow cuz are was just a 2 wheel drive. We replaced it with a '96 Astro, another good van.

Nice choice tho, I like it for a mini van.

All you need is some rims and an exhaust and it'll look like a completely different truck. Just don't go too obnoxious with the exhaust, I see way too much of that around here.

i finally did get my exhaust done a couple weeks ago, its a glasspack with duel pipes coming out the back.

i also finally put my new speakers in the dashboard today, the rear speakers will have to wait untill the weekend because on my truck you have to take the entire side pannel of to get to the rear speakers.

here is a pic of the original dash speakers and the new speakers i installed:

FRONT SPEAKERS:

TS-G4640R

REAR SPEAKERS:

TS-G950M

CD PLAYER

DEH-P2000

Its amazing the difference speakers will make. The Pioneer radio will make the most difference but just about anything is better than a stock radio. That looks like a real nice one too. I have had a couple Pioneer car stereos and I never had a single problem with them. Congrats on the exhaust too. I bet you can at least notice a little power increase with it.
Oh yeah where are the pics of your off road experience with the van over the weekend? lol

thanx bro ;)

i already installed the cd player last year when i got the truck but the right front speaker has never worked, i got a good deal on the speakers so i decided to upgrade. :)

the exhaust sounds nice and it seems to accelerate easier when passing other cars ( sounds good too lol ) but i dought it gained much horsepower, i bet my neighbors love it when i fire it up at 4:30 am :sly:

lmfao i almost forgot about the van, the pics were taken on my wifes cell phone so im not sure how they came out. for everybody that hasnt already heard the story here ya go lol.

saterday me my wife and our kids went to look at some storage spaces to rent. (i was driving the AWD mini van we bought awhile ago) in the middle of the driveways there was a strip of snow about 15 feet wide and 2-3 feet deep, i saw tracks where another vehicle had crossed it so i drove across it with no problem. after successfully crossing it the first time my kids kept screeming "do it again daddy" so i blasted through a 2nd time in another spot where nobody had crossed and i made it over.

again my kids were chearing me on and ofcourse my wife was telling me to stop lol, but i didnt want to disapoint everybody so i blasted through a 3rd time in another untouched area, but this time i only made it about half way and when i got out to see how deep it was i had realised i had barried it up to the frame. all 4 tires were off the ground and it took me 45 minuits to did it out with a shovel 👍
