OH NOES A COMPLAINT THREAD, but, not really.

The only thing that bothers me(it's realistic though), is that I can't crank the stick for turning around like you can in most games, or else the car will push like a freight train. Now, I realize this is realistic 'cos if you crank the wheel in a real car way over while turning it'll chatter the front end and push, haha. It just makes it a little difficult when you're in the heat of the moment, and you cant just start crankin on them, and only use little input.

Good on PD for making this though, really makes me wanna go out and buy a wheel, haha.

What the hell are you talking about..

And what is with the game, you getting a color. Than getting a message that you'll lose a color painting another car? Seriously. Can't get a color and have it for good...

I'm using a controller.

You cant just put the turning "stick" all the way over like you can in most games to turn, or else the front of the car will chatter and you'll push wide. You need to be gentle with it and move it at most like 5-7.5mm

Cranking the stick... obviously

That is called understeer. If you slow down, you'll find that you can push the stick as much as you want.

then you'll need to slow down far too much for the corner to push it all the way over. The game doesn't have speed sensitive steering like most console racing games do. Therefore, you can't just turn the stick all the way to the stop and have it turn. It makes it very difficult to drive when you're trying to go fast and you've spent the past 15 years just pushing the stick to the stops to turn, haha.

I'm a circle track guy back here, it's called a push. :P

Wait...so you want the wheels to go from pointing straight ahead to full lock at the flick of your thumbs?

No.

You guys aren't getting it, haha. It's very hard to put into words.

Well I use a G27, and a controller. At the moment I'm using a controller and I don't have a clue what you're talking about lol.

You have to use the sticks like you do the wheel. If you wanna guide the car through a set of sweepers(say the ones at Grand Valley Full), you need to just move the stick a fraction of its full travel. Most games(including the previous GT's) had sort of a speed sensitive steering on the controllers, where if you were to negotiate those same sweepers, you could move the stick to the stops, and it wouldn't turn the wheels as much, because you were going faster.

It's just gonna take me some getting used to, and it's the only thing I've found that has gotten me frustrated so far, especially when trying to save a tank slapper.

Ok I think I know what you're getting at now. As above, you really need to try and be as smooth as possible. I've found it a lot harder to play with the controller than it was in prologue, for example. NASCAR is the hardest because you need to be really smooth driving such heavy cars at high speeds.

It makes sense if you think about it, because the same thing would happen in a real car if you were violent with the steering. Guess I'd better go buy myself a wheel then...

Yea, either buy a wheel or watch a lot of porn. Pick your poison. I'll go with the ladder.

Not sure how it will help but here ya go.

@ OP, i totally understand man. posted a thread about the exact same thing at ps3forums and after being ridiculed for a while they finally understood my point ;) its realistic, but feels odd. im getting a wheel for sure 👍
