Since doing the seasonal events and having extreme opened up for me i started doing some of them today....

Did the extreme german championship (nurburgring x2 and cape)...

To be honest, i wasn't looking forward to these particularly the cape since i'd always found that track to be a bit of a pain and lacking something.... actually i hated every race i had to do around that place.

That all changed today with a bang.... 1st i tackled the 2 nurburgring's in my AMG 2.5 Evo II touring car...

Holy crap what a good car.... yes i'd slapped on some medium racers on there but there was no real engine tweaks to be had so it was a pretty fair fight in general and was kept honest throughout and that car is an absolute hoot to drive... corners well, can take a bit of loose cornering and putting a foot on the grass etc..

But nothing surprised me quite so much as the Cape .... my god, in a mid-paced touring car that track is epic fun..... so much so i re-ran the race 2 more times without even dropping to the menu to see what i'd won

Setup right that car makes Cape Ring flow.... so many corners you can just keep your foot in and take flat out and you spend so much time on full throttle (especially beyond about 40 seconds in) it just transformed that place for me.

Seems like it was perfectly suited to the 200-400 bhp range of enhanced road cars... rewards commitment though the long sweepers and has some good big stops for over taking.

Best series of races in the game next to the Lupo cup around the nurburgring which was also a scream except for winning a worse lupo than the one you entered the race with.

There are some racing gems to be had in GT5 ... just wish there were more of them....

that 2.5 AMG is light as hell less than 1100kilos and on race-mediums it can handle like crazy. in gt4 i used it in the DTM series with race superhards and won that series easy. cape ring is awsome even if you have rubber that is too soft on a super light car or sports-hard on say a heavy car like an Aston martin or Mercedes. since the first run around it i have loved it.
