XBOX SUCKS!
Okay, I do not know how many of you were able to still continue to progress in GT5 with the save files you currently have. But as my own personal precaution, I will back up my save files before I run the update to version 1.06. After I read about a critical 4165KB bug (though my save file is about 450KB), something may seem fishy if that will disturb/interfere with my progress through this game.

In addition, I personally recommend having a 1.05 update (the one before this) kept somewhere in case if you feel the need to downgrade GT5's version if possible. BTW, I would like to see if any of you can please find this 1.05 update and upload it somewhere for the benefit of the unsatisfied.

So to sum things up, back up your save files and see if you can find a way to downgrade GT5 back to 1.05 should you're not satisfied. Thanks, people!

While you can download the 1.05 patch (just google "GT5 1.05 patch download"), I don't think it's possible to patch the game unless it's done online via PSN.

Try reading the news article about it in the news section here. If you don't get the 1.06 update, you will be stuck with the museum flaw. Downgrade, not a chance.

Obviously you lose all online functionality even if you do find a way to downgrade to an earlier patch.

So we're all along for the ride as far as patches go.

Just made a backup a few days ago at 1.05. Interestingly, I could reproduce a freeze after updating to 1.06:

Had a fastlap saved in offline practise mode, 1.05. After loading that fastlap in 1.06 (Autobacs Garaiya) and attempting that lap with another car (Toyota MR-S S edition) I always had a freeze after running over the finish line. Don´t know what exactly affected this, but was a bit curious about that.

Do you mean like a little pause/lag? Or it just stops there and dies?

I know about that "passing-the-line" glitch which didn´t bother me at all.
In this case, the game stops running, while the engine´s still roaring and freezes to death.
I just deleted my Garaiya hotlap from 1.05, wasn´t that fast anyway.

Maybe Autobacs and Toyota have some conflict with each other ;)
