ReLoaDeD57
So I turn on my ps3 the other day to grind some more time in gt5 and I notices the game wasting coming up; so I turned off the ps3 and flipped the switch in the back and turned the system back on.
Well nothing good the game still isn't showing up AND my downloadable contest "games" for PS Move wasn't in the games menu as if it was deleted or something which it hasn't been since I'm the only one that uses this system. So I did a fill restore to my ps3 and 10 hours later..... nothing.. Game still won't show up. So if anyone has any clue as what the case may be please let me know because now when I put a disc in all I see is the disc loading icon in the top right and it goes away after a minute. PLEASE HELP!!

I had this problem with my original PS3 (we bought it in 2006).

Do you have any downloaded games stored on your playstation HDD?

The only way I found my way around this problem was by starting a Downloaded game, then exiting back to the PS3 menu after at least 10 seconds. For some magical reason, the PS would then recognise the blu ray disc.

Hopefully this will work for you...

If it won't read any disks then it is very possible the Blu-ray drive is dead. Hopefully this isn't the case...

I have this issue but with only one game so check to see if it is scratched iaround the disks inner edge

If it won't read any movie then the drive is probably toast, or possibly just dirt. Get one of those cleaning discs, the kind with the little brush thing on the surface, and give it a whirl, so to speak.

If the drive is bad, implied by not reading discs, then it won't see your game disc either. Not specifically a GT5 problem, but a drive problem.
