my racing soft tires disappeared?

hey everyone

this might be a very stupid question but i bought racing softs for 36 grand and after a couple of races and turning my ps3 on and off, they dissapeared. is that normal in gt6? (sorry im still new and yes i try to drift alot with my g27 :P)

If you bought them in race menu and turned PS3 off without going to main menu, then it might not saved the game.

Happens to me often with car setups :(
 
Game autosaves progression while at menus ,so if you quit GT6 directly from the event you play (through XMB) without first exiting to menus and waiting cca 5 seconds for that little text "saving" to appear, then game didn't save your purchase.

Same happens if you upgrade in online lobbies and quit game without going least into lobby search menu and waiting for autosave to kick in.

Good thing is , you haven't spend any money ,since purchase wasn't saved in first place (but you lost cr. earned during unsaved session).
 
the weird thing is i did lose the money. i had 16k when i turned gt6 on and then made enough for it then bought em. when i restarted the game, i had 2k cash left and no tires. ( i had 2k left from buying the tires.). thats why im so confused.

Maybe autosave has been turned off?

(Wait...is that even an option anymore in games nowadays? I don't know.)
 
IT just happened again! I bought a new pair of racing soft tires and when i went into single player, it says that i need to purchase them!. Is this a glitch? this is the second time it happened to me :( help.
 
Never mind, I'm an idiot. i bought it for my Honda fit and my s2000. i wanted them for my evo x and s14 kouki :(.
 
If "s14 kouki" means what I vaguely think it might mean (isn't kooky Phoebe from Friends?) when kids quote and reference japanese popular car culture phrases in their posts, then I think you would want the cheapest tyres on the list: Comfort hards. No?
