Hey everyone! I need the public's opinion on this one of my renderings. I did it with Prisma markers, some old oil pastels and an hour of work. After a bit i realised that the drawing was plain, so I picked up a marker and went wild for about 5 minutes solid and added a ton of contrast. I didn't pay tooooo much attention to the technicalities (roofline seems a bit high etc), just getting used to a lot of marker... In that case, there is no branding, just a little creative design of mine... The colur was supposed to bemore of a turquoise, not this standard blue. Also, the should be a LOT more contrast between the blues... My digital camera didn't pick that up too well, my scanner politely stopped working the other day.
Tell me what y'all think!

BTW, there will be more to come. If my scanner comes to its senses again or if I can get a better picture of it, I'll be sure to update you all.

Pretty sweet. I love the shading. 👍 I wish I could shade like that.

One quirk though, whats with the wheels?

Just a little design trend going on. Don't look functionally possible, yet interestingly attractive. I decided to throw in the tires last second...

I think this hot weather has disipated my tolerance or patience but would you mind typing so you make sense? Thanks... Eliseracer that's cool, I'm not quite sure what that squiggly stuff is emulating down from the tires are though? If you move the vinye(sp?) over more it won't look so out of place also extend it down past the bottom of the car and it will pop out a little more. 👍

I'm not sure what you mean by vinye, maybe it's that "artistic box in the background"? I was kind of restricted with where I could put that, as you can see, the edge of the paper is very close.

The squigly stuff under the wheel is just something I've done in the past with almost every drawing of mine. I guess it is sort of a reflection of the darkness of the wheels? I'm not too sure myself, I just try to keep it from looking like two large oil spills :p. It also seems to hold the drawing to the ground without having to add an extravagant undershadow. You guy's should check out the tutorials on CDN (previous link). Just click "Studio" thent here are 3 tuts that are fairly easy and nice. Good luck!

I will be doingmore drawing tonight, hopefully my scanner will cooperate.

I'm not sure if this is the best example but the black part in the backround is what I'm refering to. If you move that over on your drawing it will give the car some perspective or space to it.

I'm still not convinced about your addition in front of the wheels?

Hope this helps.

Nick

I'll keep it there, that's the basic position I see it more often than not...

Convinced? I'm not sure how to more convince you... I really just add it because it gives that half of the page something to it, instead of drawing an actual reflection of the car, that I can do in PS. I'll add some more stuff this evening.

I was trying to be funny by talking like a n00b. Guess that hot weather has gotten to you badly.

Hey guys. Here is a new one. Motre of a sketch as well. I'm not sure I like it, I know I really wasn't satisfies with the design, and I'm not proud of the rough edges. What do you think? This is the actual colour/contrast.

Hey, Eliseracer Looks good, give the A pillar and the roof some thinkiness there and it will look better. Doesn't really work for me but you can also try using pastel for the highlight area, blending into the door line. 👍

Well, there's not much I can do for now, It's kinda down in ink, so I would have to do a complete new design :D I'm not sure I'd do that. I see what you mean though...

Tough loss last night eh ;)
