Initially, I started taking my first cockpit apart and was planning on updating it, so it could be used in flight simulation also. Then I had the bright idea that it could be smaller, easier to move around, and could even be pushed under a desk instead of being a desk(I'm still working that part out so I'm using it with my HDTV first). A few weeks later, through meticulous planning, trial and error and accidentally getting high on pipe glue, I frankensteined the whole thing and came up with a new cockpit.

I had a few questions for the veterans. This is my first time inverting pedals. What changes should I consider making? Is the angle too steep? Should the floor be raised? As for the whole leaning component, it is more flimsy than I planned it would be, do you have any suggestions to strengthen the frame? Anything else I should change on it? Thanks, GTPlanet!

For the flimsyness you could add another pipe that would attach between the part above the plywood piece the pedals are mounted and the base.

The pedal position is purely a personal preference. If you feel comfortable with it, then it's good. Though I would put them at a steeper angle. +Do you use the manual gearshifting mode? The brake should be closer to the gas if you brake with your right foot and use clutch 👍 You can check this thread for more ideas about cockpits from PVC pipings.

About the durability mentioned earlier, I turned it upside down and tightened up the pipe straps, and added another set towards the middle. It's a lot sturdier now. If problems persist, I'll see if I can build an extra support. As for the pedals, I actually didn't know that.
