My sound effects are stuck on wet-track effects...

Even when I'm driving on a dry track (ie. track with no weather changeability), I do not hear any tire screech. When I brake, I hear water sloshing...

I restarted the game and ps3, but doesn't fix anything.

yea it's pissing me off. the new GT5 improved sound effects are all muffled by the water now.

Are you sure it's not the wind roar you can hear?

I'm having the same problem... I didn't even notice the similarity to the wet track sound until I read about it now. You can hear it when stopping from low speeds using bumber cam. Weird, but not especially annoying.

If you're drifting or pulling some donuts and still can't hear proper tire squeal then it does seem like something is wrong. Otherwise it might be the hissing sound tires now make before they really squeal that you're mistaking for a wet track sound effect. Have you guys tried racing on a wet track and see if that sounds different from before?

Yes, I can hear the tyres screaming when I launch so it might just be one of the 'improved racing effects' from the update. But for me, low speed driving sounds just like a wet track now.
