My startup save....

Once in a while, I like to start the game over. But I don't like having to do arcade mode and the license tests again (although I find them easy), I decided to make myself a "startup" save.

There are plenty of these around the net that are via gameshark, but here's one that is completely earned.

Day 49
30.5 % complete
All of arcade mode done (including time trials, 0 miles on sim cars, I used arcade cars only)
All license tests gold

Basically you're starting up like normal (18000 credits) with the bonus cars from the time trials and license tests.

BTW-GT3Maniac,if you win all the time trails in arcade,you get the Esperante GTR (whatever its called) ;)
 
u can download saved games from the net to your memery card.
 
FYI - The Sharkport is the same as the X-Port in the UK. (as I understand it)

Thats exactly how I started my second game save. I went ahead and knocked out all the arcade races, the time trials, and the license tests (had to keep running I-8 over to get the Vanquish in the desired color, but I did it) before I ran one single race in Simulation mode.
 
After finding out how the saves were different, I wrote a program to swap NTSC-->PAL and PAL-->NTSC saves. It will work with replays too, but if you run the converted PAL replay on NTSC, the car's will just crash, and vice versa. (Due to different frame rates)

Yes they are available in the UK, they cost 30bucks in US (sharkport)

woah theyre cheap in america theyre probably 10 times dearer over here :(
 
Yes, there are similar one for GT4.

Rogs, has a gamesave posted there. Spend a bit of time searching around that forum, and you'll find quite a bit of stuff.
 
Actually, that save is exactly what I don't want... It has a bunch of extra cars and tons of cash. I want one like this, where it just has the arcade part completed, all gold licenses & their reward cars, and the normal starting 10k or 110k starting cash (depending on whether you import cash from a GT3 save).
 
I think I might have one at home. If I backed up mine at home, I can tell you it's not all gold, nor is Mission 34 complete. However, the awarded cars have not been touched.

You'll have to hunt around the hybrids forum to see what you might find.
