My T300 wheelbase died last night....therefore I need to look for a new wheelbase. I'm currently torn between a T300 replacement or upgrading to a CSL Elite. The price difference between the two options is about 550 CAD, which is significant. I'm sure the Fanatec is a higher quality wheel with better FFB and feel etc but is it really massively better ? Can someone please help with out with some insights? I only play AC on PC and I have a Clubsport V1 pedal.

Thanks for your help in advance !

In Fanatec, you're buying quality. Even if the FFB were identical to the T300 (they're not), the Fanatec build quality and materials are far superior. You'll buy two or three Thrustmasters for every one Fantec. You'll lose money in the end.

I'm a former T300 owner and current CSW v2.5 owner.

Thanks for the link but they dont ship to Canada : ( but thanks anyway
Why is the price difference in Canada so high? I thought Australian prices were bad.

You can get a T300 and a 2 pedal set for A$449
https://www.pagnianimports.com.au/brands/thrustmaster/t300-rs.html

and a CSL Elite Wheel Starter Pack for Xbox One & PC for A$759.90 with 2 pedals
https://www.fanatec.com/au-en/bundl...net&utm_campaign=General+Links&a_aid=gtplanet

or just the CSL Elite Wheel and base for A$649 .90 (since you already have the pedals)
https://www.fanatec.com/au-en/racin...net&utm_campaign=General+Links&a_aid=gtplanet

Cheapest difference A$200. Fanatec delivery prices are reasonable here - my wheelbase and pedals cost A$25 to deliver (took about a week to arrive).

Here in Canada ..

T300 Wheelbase only (hence I can reuse my original T300 wheel) - 365 CAD shipped

https://fleetnetwork.ca/products/thrustmaster-t300-servo-base-ps4-ps3-pc

CSL Elite PS4 ver. - wheelbase and wheel - 898 CAD shipped

https://www.simulation1.ca/products/csl-elite-racing-wheel-officially-licensed-for-ps4systems/

I moved to Canada from New Zealand few months ago. I thought prices in NZ were bad ......... now I'm crying :(

I see it's $759 on the website - your shipping must be pretty expensive.

yes 5% tax and 70 CAD shipping . I was shocked when I tried to checkout.

Fanatec US website charges 180USD to ship it to CAD and I'm sure I will be stung by import tax too.

I think i will just get the T300 base for the time being and then spend big on the DD base from fanatec or TM when they hit the market ....

This is probably your best option. The TM isn't a dreadfully bad wheel, and due to the price difference you're better off sticking to the plan you already have.

Yes and I have just ordered the T300 base. I couldn't pull the trigger on the CSR. :-(

yea I agree the T300 is a decent wheel for the price. I wouldnt think of upgrading to CSR if it didnt die haha

Thanks all for your input ! Much appreciated !
