Ok, this is a thread to post what suits you best. What combos you do your best at, so i can best sort out who will do what.

Me? I'm best at mid HP race cars, 300 - 700 on original tracks like grand valley, deep forest etc and the odd city track. I can do multi laps, only if the AI is very very easy to pass. Can also race normal cars, though not exactly sure which ones. Basically anything thats not really slow or really fast. And apart from the aliens im not too shabby around the nurb (2 or so seconds behind Dan)

Now i was thinking....

Z./ VTRacing / MisterWeary

You guys can be our rally drivers and help each other out for the possible 2 rally races, doubleing up if nessicary. fastest times gets submitted. Think about what rally races you like.

Hotboi / Holl01.

You guys are either gonna race the 10 - 20 lapper or the nurburgring race. Reason? this is the races that attracts the most aliens, so we need to counter with aliens. both of you are blisteringly fast and consistent. Also think about what combo's you would like for these. (Tip, if the AI has a standing start you can pass them very easily before bend 1.)

the Rest of us cant really be assigned until the combos are decided and finalised.

Please these are only thoughts and Im open to all suggestions. So dont be afraid to speak out.

I'm an Arcade/Hotlap specialist. Preferably with road cars, race tyres arn't my thing. And nothing on Motegi or the Ring. I've done very well at Trial Mountian in the past.

Another thing to take inconsideration I think is the DS2/DPF split. On races with higher HP and sweeping corners it would probably be best for a DPF person to take it. But for a tight track with lots of switches, DS2 guys might be at an advantage? What do you guys think?

Well I am 12th of 12 drivers so if I get to race I'll be surprised, but I'm glad to be of assistance any way I can. One thing I've noticed (correct me if I'm wrong) DS2 drivers are at a disadvantage in fast cars with race tyres. After watching a bucket of replays with buckets of different styles it appears the DFP's biggest advantage is with fast cars. So my suggestion would be to keep that in mind when allocating drivers to races 👍

[EDIT]
Just read Casio's post after I posted mine :) As my mama used to say, either:
a) Great minds think alike
b) Fool's never differ
👍

Well historically I do best with AI races. I just seem to have the patience to figure 'em out. Also it's best if the car is not on road tires.....(major sucking sounds) and if it is a SWB kinda twitchy little b!tch all the better. 👍

Option B! Option B! :D  ;)

I think peoples strengths can out-weigh any advantage or disadvantage with the controllers. But it will be taken into consideration for sure.

The more mature members seem to have more patients than us "strapping young lads" :D

I'm hoping to get a few more 3 - 5 lappers in this BC, as i think it would suit our team nicely. We have a lot of skill and consistency in this team so we should try to use it, luck plays a smaller role in 3 - 5 laps than it does in hotlaps (I think it takes more skill/consistency), so this would theoretically (excuse my bad spelling) work in favour of the faster guys and minimise "slower" (for lack of a better word) drivers from getting "lucky" and beating drivers they probably would not beat if it was 2 - 3 laps.

I definitely wouldn't mind doing it [rally] again, especially if I get a combo that I am very comfortable with (like in the last BC).

Overall strong points are rather random, so I'll list weak points instead:

* City Circuits
* Race Tires (I agree for the most part [some circuits/cars being an exception] with Casio on the DFP/DS2 split here.)
* Plain and simple: Suzuka.
* FF / 4WD (on tarmac, anyway) / RR platforms -- RWD certainly a strong point, though I am known to adjust to the others if they are an enjoyable drive.

Just.. get me in a car. ;)

OPTION B= DITTO. :)

If anyone is interested, here are all of the races Team GTP submitted as proposals last BC. I think there are some fine combos in this list that should still have consideration for this comp.

Any tires or cars. Usually lose some time with cars that have a lot of wheelspin that require throttle control even if my laps look perfect. Guess its just the DS2 but there's always a % of time lost on every track with wheelspin.

Would just like a 1 lap'er in Arcade. I could do multi lap but I generally reset a lot and it'd be a lot harder to find more time with all those resets because I would be testing corners less. I could do GT mode but I can't tune completely to my style so it'd be using someone elses' tune pretty much which would be less effective than someone who can tune to their own style.

well i think my strong points are GTmode and race cars over 400HP... speacially group c cars...

i love the original tracks, autumn ring is my house:dopey:

i also do well in long races (1 hour or so) but i don´t think tha will be the case...

weak points are the nurb, normal cars, road tires and stand still start (because of the DS).

i´ll think of some combos to post here:tup:

i second that, a road car, on road tyres is something i would have a crack at, although i don't mind race cars... but we shall have to see what races eventuate in BC6 before i decide which race i want...

I dont want anybody making any claims that GTP will win, and that anyone will win their BC race. if it doesnt work everyone will be quoting posts and laughing.

Coward. GTP will win. If we don't (Which is hypothetical, because we will), remember it's the Captain who takes responsibility for the team.

No pressure Dion.
