My Tomahawk X Vision is getting smoked by other drivers online, HOW?!

When racing against other drivers on a straight track, they seem to fly past me at 100MPH faster than I can manage!?

How in hell do they manage this?
I'm going about 300MPH myself, but they flash past me.

You need to use the "nitrous" button (R1 by default). It sets the flaps in low drag mode and releases a flow of compressed air around the body to reduce drag further.
