I was doing a practice run at Monza in my S. Vettel livery X2010, and got a lap time of 1:00.452 which I haven't been able to do AT ALL during the challenge. I'm so close to gold, but for some reason I psyche out on the second lap and make mistakes I'd never otherwise make.

So is there a difference between my X2010 and the X2010 in the challenge, or do I just race better with no pressure?

Edit: Just got gold on Monza but only because of a great first lap. I got nowhere close to a 1:00 second lap...

have you been modifying the downforce on it?

But yeah, i feel the same way, and im 99% sure that it isnt your mind its wrong with, but that the car in the Vettel Challenge somehow must be down-tuned. Or maybe its because you have raced some kilometers on it, so the engine gets "broken" and by that, gets about 50 BHP more than at 0 km, but it just doesnt make up that you are several seconds faster.

I haven't changed any settings on mine yet. I was actually running these practice laps to tweak the tuning... I wish I knew the settings on the challenge car so I could practice more with it, especially on Suzuka.

Yeah Suzuka.. took me 10 hours just to get bronze in that (im using DS3..) :yuck:

Few things here: car gets broken in, oil change increases hp, more down force, more practice, different tires. Also the pressure of the challenge.

The challenge uses Racing Hard tires, right? Because I'm on Soft and that would explain the handling and time difference...
