***Note! This is still in it's Draft/Interest check stage!*** I apologize in advance for the lack of periods, as the key suddenly stopped working on my keyboard

Welcome one and all to my 1st annual Nürburgring endurance!

Here I will try to create the most diverse but yet competitive racing there is, bringing cars from each racing series into the driving haven that is Germany

The race will be in a 4-hour format ( set to 35 laps for approximate correctness), where 15 drivers in 3 different categories will fight to be the winners

The classes are named GT1, GT2 and GT3, but are not as the real life classes are:

GT1 is the ultimate racers, in the 630PP+ range
GT2 is the GT cars of the real world, mixed with DTM, JGTC and PDs own Touring Cars
GT3 the the cars aimed more at endurance racing, with around 170 BHP, and are at an approximate 475PP range

LMP cars are not added, the current cars added in the GT1 car class are still very powerful compared to the GT2 and GT3

Full car list is at the bottom, but the numbers are not final
I will do testing of every single car to ensure that they are competitive
Every car listed can only be driven by ONE RACER! This means that when the time comes, its first post first serve! The ratio of cars in each category will be 1:1:1 to the extent I can

If there is enough interest, I will run several races to accomodate everyone

The room will run as follows:
Race type: Race For Real
Fixed Room Ownership
Max number of participants: 16 (I will not race simply be a pace car for the occation)
Race quality: 5 stars
Voice Chat: Enabled (we will use this to call out blue flags, cautions etc) (A mic is not required, but reccomended)
Track: Nürburgring 24H
Weather at start: 0%
Time: 13:00
Time Progression: 13 (will be fixed to be as close to 24h progression in 4 hours as possible)
Number of laps: 40 (will be fixed to be as close to 4 hours)
Weather Changeability: Not yet decided
Surface Water at start: 0

Qualifying will be done with the ingame qualifying method
Time limit: 30 minutes

Hold Races: Disabled
Start Type: Grid start
Grid Start: Fastest First
Boost: Off
Penalty: Weak
Tyre Fuel Depletion: Fast (will be tested to fit with the time)
Grip reduction: Real
Required pitstop: Off (You will need to pit several times anyway, so no need for this)
Race finish Delay: 180 Seconds
Visible Damage: On
Mechanical Damage: Light
Slipstream Strength: Real

Driving aids:
Skid Recovery Force: Prohibited
Active Steering: Prohibited
ASM: Prohibited
Driving Line: Prohibited
Traction Control: Avalible
ABS: Avalible

Standard OLR Rules apply!

Ruleset will be posted as I have straightened out other details

The start will begin with the pace car guiding the cars around the GP part of the course in a double file manner

After the chicane at the end of the GP course, the pace car will keep to the right, and the race is underway

Contact, off track or passing of any kind will lead to a penalty during the pace lap

Any driving off road for the purpose of gaining time or to pass will lead to a penalty
Off track is decided as "more than 2 wheels off track at any time" (Kerbs are part of the track, anywhere else is decided by the white lines

If you go off track by mistake, and gain an advantage, you must slow down to allow any cars to pass again to avoid a penalty

Any suggestions are very welcome, and I will consider each comment

The car list below is the final list of acceptable cars, but HP, weight and class may change when testing is finished! Areas marked by questionmarks are simply because I don't own the cars yet, and the dealership does not list it

The GT500 cars are listed as one in each dealership, and you can choose freely of these! Base models are banned as I don't think they fit in as well as the real racing counterparts

Im intersted, but it depends on the hour and day the race will start.

I suggest you to not put fixed host, because if the host internet connection goes out, the whole race is gone.

So you're talking 5 drivers in each class? Four hrs is toooo much for me. But I would go 2.

Yes, 5 cars in each class unless there is more than 15 people taking part, where I will part it up as closely as possible

I suggest you to not put fixed host, because if the host internet connection goes out, the whole race is gone.

Time and date are not set yet, but it will be after new years

I did not think of that, but if that is the case, and I can't reconnect for whatever reason, I will need a "right hand man" to oversee the race, and give me the results

Im interested as long as it doesnt happen while Im working and would use the BMW Z4 GT3 - 507 BHP - 1,190 KG - 592 PP - GT2

Noted, but as I said in the OP, individual car specs are subject to change. I will update them as I have made the car list more manage, and I have started to get the cars equal

I have another suggestion but I dont think you should take it - if you already had tested the cars.

Instead of putting fiction grid, you could be a bit closer to the real life Nurburgring 24 hours selecting SP9-GT3, SP8 and SP3-T (the newest cars)from this list:

I have another suggestion but I dont think you should take it - if you already had tested the cars.

*snip*

Althogh that would be closer to real life, my vision is really to grab something from every racing series featured on GT6, an GT all stars endurance if you will.

The reason I did the GT1-3 settings that I have listed is to grab the diversity in every category, so not only performance, but also strategy and tire/fuel consumption is a variable that everyone needs to take into account.

I think that the most suprising cars might be the smallest cars in the GT3 categories. The click (when tuned, I can bet that it wont keep up the pace to the other GT3 cars) might be incredible on fuel, and it just might keep it up in the long run

On another note, if you all who have noted an interest in the series, if you could give me a heads up on what class you are interested in, so I can get a demografic.

Also, do you think that (if there is enough contenders), that I should run rooms that are only one class at a time, giving more competition, or all 3, to give diversity?

I dont have any answers about it. There are advantages and disadvantages on doing it. Diversity is cool, however, 15 cars for a endurance are really few cars (real Nurburgring got something around 150 and passed 200 few years ago;Spa endurance got more than 50). However, it is something rare on GT...

EDIT: I also wouldnt participate if we have an empty grid =/. Minimum of 12 to me.

I like the idea of this, I'd be interested in the GT3 class as I'm fairly new to online racing and like the idea of the clean rules.

Time/date dependent count me in, I'll need to get some practice in mind!

PS. I do prefer the idea that the chap had in regards to a more true representation of Nur24 hr, simply because the original list of cars is so diverse I think too much will depend on car choice. I have noticed some seriously huge differences in fuel/tyre wear in certain cars to a somewhat unbalanced point.

Also definitely weather on, its not the Nurburgring without its own weather ;)

Although a realistic representation of the N24 is fun, I'm aiming more for a diverse endurance (as stated in a previous post). My testing does include tire/fuel usage as well, so it will result in a level playing field. Right now I am going though every single car, mapping things out, and its time consuming (and hard on credits! There is a lot of millions in that list). I'm going though GT3 now, and I'm getting there in terms of lap times, next on the list is to map out fuel/tire usage over the course of x laps. I'll compile findings when I get that far, for future reference for everyone.

Wow, apologies, I missed out on reading that from your original post. Nice work :D

I am keen on participating in this event, time and date dependant.

Also, if you have enough interest I think that running one race per class (GT1, GT2 & GT3) would be better to allow as much wheel to wheel racing as possible. 👍

I would be interested in running GT2 and/or GT3 depending on if you run one race or three. GT1 class cars are not of significant interest to me.

For GT2 I would like to run Honda HSV GT500 and for GT3 the Subaru BRZ GT300! Big fan of the Super GT series and these are the latest editions to GT6 for each class. :D

Will keep an eye on this thread.

The thing that is most interesting is how it will pan out between drivers. Some cars are quite easy to keep on the track, while others have the potential to be incredibly fast, but needs a driver with great skills to handle. A quick example as of right now: The ARTA Garaya is a damn quick car, but is a bit unpredictable with its oversteer, while the Motul Civic is incredibly planted, but quite a bit slower.

Of course these will be balanced out a bit, but I know that some cars will be a lot more friendly to newer players than other, and those who are great at setups might excel quite a bit.

I'm quite keen on the AMG mercedes 190 E 2,5 - 16 Evo II myself but theres loads in that list I'd like to try. This is going to hurt the credits...

I will advice to not buying anything yet, as I still need to find a balance to them all. Some cars might have altered characteristics when Im done.

I already have the AMG 190E dtm, its an awesome car, loved it in GT5 too. Been working on an Nur24hr tune for a while now and managed to balance the tyre wear out completely evenly front to back and keep it sub 9 mins (24hr layout) which is good for me lol :D
