"Renault takes us on ... 8:07.79 ride around Nürburgring in the Mégane RS Trophy, ... in a production 265hp FWD car." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKyfmUJUzK8 i'm not familiar enough with the track (and car racing in general) to state whether the laptime of less than 8:08 in a production front wheel drive car is impressive. what i do know, however, is the time is much less than what i can achieve in GT5 ;)
 
Well, it is the fastest FWD car on that track so far. That laptime is similar to cars like the BMW M6 or Z8. It's only slightly slower than, say, the BMW M3, so it is pretty fast, especially for the price Renault is likely going to ask for it.

For a FWD vehicle, that's pretty impressive, in my opinion - even though it's pretty much purpose build and a limited edition.

Oh, yeah, if you want to check laptimes and stuff, this website is incredibly handy. ;)
