I imagine that if you had enough downforce (which those 60's F1s had none of), you could stay grounded at full speed. But then the question is, how much of a top speed are you willing to sacrifice?
 
I think you were taking my comments the wrong ways guys, When i said that racing cars are always at full throttle i was commenting on the fact we were talking about jumps, you ain't going to get jumps (hill crests) on a corner are you? - i know that you are possibly going to be on partial throttle when aiming for the corners apex but this is irrelevent when the subject is 'leaving the ground'

As for saying that keeping your wheels on the ground will always be quicker, i wasn't refering particulary to The Ring, where the crest is in the middle of a long straight, but more like a generalisation in the fact that anytime when your driven wheels are not in contact with the road surface - you are technicaly going to be losing speed. In rallying drivers will often lift-off before a crest to keep air time to a minimum.

ei - ei as in 'I'
fe - as in 'fell'

As for jumps slowing you down because you don't accellerate, that's simple physics. If you have to slow down more to not jump than you lose because you're temporarily in the air, then obviously it's not faster.
 
oh that would be wicked if a 1965-1968 (1969 they got wings, well started too) Formula 1 cars where in the game.

...have you not heard - Bikes will be in GT4, like F1's were in GT3!

...but seriously, the TT course would be great, i know it well, my Grandad lives in the Isle of Man... Ballaugh Bridge - now theres a bridge that riders slow down for. point in case!

The two points above the vowel mean there is a non-written "E" following the vowel.

In example,

Ö = OE / ö = oe
Ü = UE / ü = ue
Ä = AE / ä = ae

If you don´t use the points, you have to use the extra E after the vowel.

Nürburgring -> correct
Nurburgring -> false
Nuerburgring -> correct

On german keyboards we have 3 extra keys for this.
 
you can definetly get airborne i ve seen a video of a standard porsche GT3 around there and it does although is wasnt all 4 wheels at the same time it kind of bounced over but there was air involved
