So I've had the trueno for a couple of days it has every possible performance mod I can buy, stage 3 lightweight, every drivetrain mod yeah I have bought everything in the shop except the Brake management system.
I also got sports tyres.

This makes this car weigh ~ 800 kg and with 350 HP!

Still its slow!
192 km/h
and 400m @ low 14's...

Get better tyres and adjust your ratios so you can get more speed. You should be able to go well over 300kph and get 12's down the 400metres.

The tires alone will do amazing things... sports can't handle that kind of power o_O

It involves something to do with taking the Auto gear all the way down, and adjusting the Final gear until you hit the redline at the end of the longest straight or some other ridiculous rubbish.

There's heaps of guys who know what to do, hang around in the GT3 settings forum, or ask around.

Or you can just adjust the final drive a little, or the auto settings...

Hi, Felix, and welcome to GTPlanet!

Do a search for "tranny trick" or "trans trick" and you should get the information you're looking for. That sets up a tight-ratio gearbox for best acceleration, then you adjust the final drive to suit the track.

I respectfully submit that you're going about your tuning a little backwards. "Where the rubber meets the road" is the single most important modification you can make. I never buy Sports tires - always a minimum of T2 Super Slicks. I tend to rarely go higher than T5s becasue they just don't have a useful track life. But tires and suspension are where to start, followed later by power.

Also, Japan-fanboys to the contrary, the Trueno/AE-86 is nothing more than a decent car. It's fundamentally a good chassis, but it's nothing magic. At full power you are going to find its limitations.

Good luck!

Its a good car to learn with... but nothing amazing.. and I am a Toyota fanboy even ;)

But the chassis just has issues putting down power after like... 250 HP...

Funny I know how to adjust gear ratios you should just take it to the run and setting and tune it around there thats what I do.

Make sure that you dont sell the Sprinter Trueno S.S version once you win it from the 80's cup in Amateur league. Once fully modded and tuned it's actually pretty fast and for me the drifting weapon of choice.
