N1 tyres in TIME TRIAL????!!! Please help me!!

I was about to try the track "Eiger Nordwand" with the N1-type of tyres. But I faced right away a huge problem; I just can't choose the type of tyres in "TIME TRIAL-mode". Please tell me how it's done so I could compare my times with the best ones.. By the way, I'm not playing ONLINE so maybe this has something to do with that??? Is it only in ONLINE-modus you can choose the basic type of tyre?

in arcade mode,go to the menu before starting the tt where you can change automatic/manual gearbox etc etc..scroll down to tyres settings and change....

Since your not on the net with your ps3 do you know which version your have?
before specII you could not change tires in time trial.
If you have done the update then it should be in the menu.
