Nail in my tire

One day, I was showing my friend my car. After I got done, he pointed out that there was a nail sticking in my tire. There is no air leakage, so I was wondering what I should do about this. My dad recommended not using a tire plug, & just leaving the nail in. I usually take corners hard, & I don't know how good a nail or patch will hold up. My car is awd, so all of my tires must wear evenly & so I can't just replace one. Does anyone have any advice?

About a year ago I had a nail in one of mine, took it and had it plugged at the gas station down the street, and haven't had a problem with it.

I'd probably have it plugged too. Or else I'd look at the scrapyard to see if there were any similar tires available that were worn roughly the same as the other 3.

Have it plugged. It will cost less than $10, and if it's a nice clean puntcture like a nail hole, it should work just fine, and last the life of the tire.

The only time plugs dont work is when the puncture hole is too large or the puncture is on or near the sidewall. I've put many plugs on many tires, and they work really well. Its very cost-effective too.

I agree with everyone else. Get that nail out of there and get a plug put in. You dont want that nail flying off and hitting your car or someone else.
Most tire places like Discount Tire have a warranty you can buy for only $10 a tire and it guarantees they will repair or replace your tire if anything happens to it. Yes even if someone vandalizes your tire. Well worth $10 for the warranty. 👍
