Here is my review of Namco Museum, which has been out since 2001 and acheived "Greatest Hit" status.
This game features seven classic Namco arcade games and three beautiful renditions of Namco classics. These include Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Dig-Dug, Pole Position, and Pole Position 2. The ones with different versions from the mid 1990s include Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug.
Let me tell you. I may have not been a game fan when these games came out, but the old school is so stylistically done that I have no real complaints about this except for maybe some more information on the games. It should have been called "Namco Collection" or something.
JOHN'S REVIEW SHEET:
Concept: Relive classic Namco games and play three never-released versions of classics
Execution: 10/10 (play yesteryear games today!)
Games: 9.50/10 (all the classics!)
Sound: 10/10 (hey, these are mostly old games. What you expect?)
Graphics: 10/10 (^^ again. The "arranged" games look lovely.)
Music: 10/10 (nostalgia done right)
Overall: 9.75/10 (get it now, nostalgia fans!)
OTHER COMMENTS:
The Arranged versions of Pac-Man and Dig-Dug have wonderful music, the Pole Positions can be very fun, or very frustrating. Press Triangle to deposit more credits. The Pole Position 2 tracks are Namco, Test, Wonder, and Seaside... but look more like Fuji, Indianapolis, Suzuka, and Long Beach. In other words, this is a must-have for any nostalgia gaming fans.
