Name Change

I'd like to change my account name -- I signed up for the premium user thing, so that should be taken care of.

Old account name = Euripides

New account name = Trizzig


If this isn't the correct place to post this please advise.

I think Jordan now prefers a private message for name changes, I would just send him one to make sure he sees it. 👍

EDIT: sorry, I misread

EDIT 2: On another note, I think that the thread called "Want to change your name?" at the top of this subforum should not only contain that you have to be a premium member to have your name changed, but also what the next steps will be. Given I want to have my name changed and I already am a premium member: what do I do?

Yeah Jordan told us a while back that from now on all name changes should be done via a PM making that thread only useful for directing users as to how to do it...

Yeah, but the problem is that when you didn't see that Jordan wants to do it via PM, the thread doesn't tell you.

And the GT Premium site also only says that you can change your name, but doesn't tell you how to do it.

That's intentional. Although name changing is a service I want to provide to Premium users, I feel it has been detrimental to the community in the long run. Not advertising how to do it is just one way to gently discourage requests. (I had forgotten about that thread, it's unstuck now.)
 
I changed mine because people were complaining that 22121 was a hard number to remember.

That's nice, but I don't believe this thread serves for us to state why we changed. I'm sure daan or Jordan will lock it now that the questions have been answered.
