Hi guys! So, I watched the video bellow, and fell in love with that color. Having color studies and a professional course in car paint spray, I enjoy experimenting with different shades and finishes of colors in a lot of things I do in my life. Mainly, in any car game that allows me to paint my car my own way.

The next thing I did, was paint my own EVO with the same color, except, I can't.

You see, although I have been playing the game since launch, I haven't collected a big enough collection of colors to select from. Therefore, I am missing the one that would be close as possible to the one in the video. Adding the fact that I suffer from basic color blindness doesn't help either (I can tell the basic, primary, colors. But variants and shades of primary are my weak point).

This is where you guys come in. I would appreciate if you guys could analyse the video bellow. Watch it in the highest quality you can, and try to identify what color that EVO is painted with. Then, tell me wich color chip in GT6 matches it best. Bare in mind though, that some colors in GT6 look slightly different under the bright light in the paint shop, as opposite to what you get with real light in a track or photo location.

I now leave you with the video in question. Thanks in advance to anyone taking their time to help me.

In showroom lights I would have to go for Maserati's color. However, in real sun light conditions, it appears that Asston Martin's Midnight Blue is the closest.

Painted two separate EVOs with the suggested colors. Here is a quick photo. No photoshop, no editing, no correction or adjustments were made to the photo.

The Maserati color looks more purplish.....the Aston color looks nice.....

Indeed. Like I said before, Maserati's looks better under showroom lights. But under actual sun light, Aston Martin gets much closer to my target.
I believe Midnight Blue is pretty close. But a slightly dark shade variation would be right on the money.

I have another shade of midnight blue in my paint shed that came with my premium Ford GT, either the '05 or '06....

Update....checked the GT5 paint list and the GT has that color.....too bad we can't share paints...

Blu Nettuno is a bad match, it looks almost green
Aston Martin chip is better, though there's a bit too much indigo in there IMO.

If you want another Maserati, Blu oceano might be a better match.
There's a risk of this becoming very expensive for you :D

Luckily I've done a backup of my save file long before I began these experiments. :sly:

Here is a close up comparison shots.

Ford's is the right shade, but does not reflect enough light. Hence, I still believe Aston Martin's the best choice so far.

I agree that the Aston is the best match.

Both Maserati paints are way off in daylight, and the Ford is too light.

Sorry for wasting your credits (exit, delete save data, and load backup for a full refund).

Edit: check out some BMW and Mercedes paints, they've got some nice dark metallic blue chips.

One thing to take into consideration, is that the EVO from the video has its windows tinted, which makes our eyes and brain to process the overall look of the car in a different way. Also, the sunlight is really bright and strong. It feels like a hot summer day. Plus, that gravel is reflecting most of the light onto the lower half of the car.

I bet if I manage to get the EVO in GT6 in a similar location, bright light, reflective gravel, with Maserati's blue, I can almost replicate. And tint the windows on photoshop for added effect.

Check the GTR Black Edition there is an amazing blue. Looks like it could be close.

Indeed that Blue is great. I haven't tried that one yet because I thought it wouldn't match. BUt, can still give it a try.

i have an estrile blue which is find very nice but i dont know where i got it from

Did you mean Estoril Blue? It's a BMW/Audi color. The Audi variant seems to be a very close match.
