I might run a NASCAR series. Post if you are interested and when you would prefer the races to be run.

-It would consist of a combination of Oval tracks, street courses and permamant circuits.
-There would be 15 races
-The final 5 races would use the original points system but divided by 2. This would be the chase for the cup
-The finale would be the Daytona 500 and will be the full 200 laps

A few things wrong, first, the Daytona 500 should be the opening race of the series, not the finale, and secondly, the chase points seem wrong, the top 8 should be reset to 300, and then regular points, as non-chase racers in the chase races would make this awful complicated, especially with fastest lap, most laps led and pole position bonus points.

Kinda interested at the moment.

What exactly? In a championship I was just in the point system was the following.

1st place - 20 points
2nd place - 18 points
3rd place - 16 points
4th place - 14 points
5th place - 12 points
6th place - 11 points
7th place - 10 points
8th place - 9 points
9th place - 8 points
10th place - 7 points
11th place - 6 points
12th place - 5 points
13th place - 4 points
14th place - 3 points
15th place - 2 points
16th place - 1 point

+1 point for leading a lap
+1 point for leading the most laps
+1 point for Pole Position

It involved the host watching the replay to check this out.

What kind of road courses are you planning?

In that series the road courses we did were Monza- no chicanes, Laguna, Daytona Road, Indy Road, High Speed Ring and Suzuka East along with 5 races of variable length on Daytona and 4 on Indy.

Also, we did a Bud shootout type thing before the series started at Daytona.

Rome Reverse would be good for this and so would Le Mans I think.

Also, we did 502 HP at every course, not just Daytona, and we used Racing Hards.

it all seems very complicated.

I will try to work something out

I'm interested :)

Clearly the host has an impeccable knowledge of NASCAR so it should be great :p

We are wrapping up NASCAR season one today, and season two will be starting up very soon. Why don't you guys come join us? We have a great group of core drivers already in place.

Golfer199 :p , also I am working in co-operation with someone on a NASCAR series..

Wow. All of a sudden, there's a club of people looking at doing a Nascar series. I can say I'm one of them, although mine would be purely a road-course series, using the full powered cars.

I'll likely hold off on it, though, as I'm also looking at doing a GT1 series.

Speaking from experience (securing second place in MustangRyan's series :sly: ) his Season 2 should be awesome.

The cars are using the correct power (through the limiter), there is a great mixture of courses (more ovals please 💡 ), and there is a great core of very very good drivers.

If all resources are pooled into his Season 2, then there is going to be massive competition (with the possibility of having to have short quali races beforehand, if the room overfills).

Plus, I am very intruiged in what Furi and Drop are proposing for Season 2. Wonder if there is a support Nationwide race using Camaro RM's, or a Truck race.

Looking forward to Season 2 ...

I am very interested in this. Exactly what I've been looking for. Please update me with what I need to do to join this.
