Dears,

I wonder if my setup is good or not. So I submit it.
If you could try it and tell me how long can you go with soft tires full trottle it could be great.

Min aero.
DGL: 40/50/40
Gear Box: 3 gears
Suspensions:
+15 / 0
19 / 17
9 / 7
8 / 6
6 / 4
0 / 0
0 / 0.2

Brakes: 2 / 1

Thanks in advance and regards,

A bit much positive rear toe and the rear height doesn't feel that good.

About rear toe: you're right: I can add more to combat more overstear but I was fearing an increase of tire wear.

About ride height: I wanted a lower rear to decrease the draft. And also to combat oversteer. You think that a such low ride height would lead in bottoming?

Thanks for the feed-back.

Ehm I actually meant that you have too much positive rear toe, not too little.
A lower rear doesn't really decrease oversteer nor is it beneficial for tire wear. But you're right that it decreases draft and may improve lap times.

Btw, a nascar will bottom out even with highest ride height and spring settings, can just hardly remember if increasing damper compression at the same time kinda solves this problem...... ahh, it's been a damn long time since I drove one of these the last time.

:)

Thanks for your advises.
I'll test rear toe = 0.10 and rear ride height = 5.

My current settings gives me about 9 1/2 laps with softs full throttle.
I'll test your recommendations. ;)

Thanks!

For better tyre wear, I'd raise the rear ride height to 15. For more speed, lower it. But for a race setup I never go lower than 10 for full HP races.

I just did some test.
Rear toe = 0
Rear ride height = 15

--> 12 laps :)

This is better! ;)

For tyre wear rather than speed, also look to increase your aero, moreso on the rear.

OK thanks, I'll try.
I'm also testing on Indy for the moment.

Just to be sure: I do not set any camber because in GT we can't set different camber at left and right sides. Do you confirm this a non-sense to set camber on NASCAR cars in GT5 on Super Speedways?

Around Daytona or SSRX it's not necessary. But I will use Camber around Indy and Motegi, as the outside tyres are doing most of the work.

Ok, then the camber won't be good for the inside wheels. Won't this cause any problem?

As long as you don't set it too high, no. The last sentence of Niop's post tells why.

Hi guys,

how many laps can you do at Indy on softs?

My current setting gives me only 5 :(

It's been a while since I've ran there, but if I remember correctly it was 9 or 10 laps.

I think so.

I can with my current setup do 6-7 laps full throttle with best lap 44.571.
I've to improve my racing lines...
