Nascar in gt sport

Wouldn't be awesome with nascar in gt? I love to race around the speedways in the game, and it would be really fun to have 400laps race and all that! Or im the only one that would like nascar in gt?

And obviously we would need more tracks for nascar in the game to!

Nascar is not for me. But I'm sure people do enjoy it. It would be a good addition I think depending if any tracks Come along with them. But it would struggle with the penalty system.

Reminds me of all the Nascar lobbies back in GT5.

I don't think Nascar would integrate very well into the GTS model. You would need to revise the penalty system and sportsmanship rating for this particular class of race. It would also mean adding a bunch of Nascar circuits, and I don't think PD would go that far.

I don't think we'll be seeing Nascar in GTS, just like we won't be seeing F1 or IndyCar either.

Ye I reminder in forza when you drive around in nascars on some speedway, was really funny, and I can only image how fun it would be on gt sport!

Well ye you are probably right, to bad there isnt any nascar games out there, atleast no good nascar games!

Really? Feels so wrong to drive around it gt.4/gt.3 classes on the speedways, I've done it a couple of times with gt.3 and drove around 200laps with car damage and tire damage and all that so you have to do pitstop and I really like it, would be ten times more fun to do it with nascars!

You need :
-a lot of (proper) tracks.
- better overall physics model (cars/tires/track).
- proper car list
-spotter/crew chief for the race.
Do you see some (or any of these) coming into GTS?

Yes if it was (as you say) a proper nascar game.And in the current state of GTS this is not possible.
 
I’m no fan of NASCAR by any means, but I don’t mind a few of them being in GTS. I don’t think we need a full blown series dedicated to it however... Imo they’re the only cars that really belong on the oval tracks we’ve been given :rolleyes:
 
You are definitely not alone in wanting NASCAR in GTSport. I am not a huge fan, I think it's fun, but I know there are many others who love stock car racing. Also NASCAR has been in previous Gran Turismo games, and it was very popular for online racing.
 
Yes, I definitely miss the NASCAR Cup cars from GT6. YOU may not like NASCAR or oval Racing, but I do. You may love “go karts”, I don’t. Guess what, that’s fine. So quit being a snob!!!

As far as bringing NASCAR Cup cars (it’s not “nascars”) back to GT, the penalty system would need a little bit of adjusting. After all, “rubbin’ is racin’” and “bump drafting” is common.

This goes back to bringing over the hi-res assets (tracks & cars) from GT6. People have tried to use FIA requirements as an excuse not to bring classic tracks back, because lack of run-off, track width, and track smoothness. Well, what about “The Ring”? It needs to be grated, widened about 10 feet, and resurfaced to glass smooth. Willow Springs is in the middle of the dust bowl, zero run-off, Tokyo Expressway has walls with no run-off and obnoxious expansion joints. Except for The Ring, there have been FIA events at these tracks.
 
They can't even release the regular experience with full content.

More half assing like they did with rally is not a good way forward.

Yee rhe "rally" is a very strange thing, isn't even rally, almost closer to rallycross since you are racing against other
