Nascar races... wth?

First 2 Nascar races are ok.
It's oval stuff, they ram me off the track 99 times but eventually they forget to ram me and I win.
No problem there.

3rd race.
I use the stock setup and for some reason I can't keep up with them, in full drag.
Lowered the gear ratio.
Still, they just accelerate away from me like rockets.

Removed all downforce, adjusted the gears again for even more acceleration, and even then they keep accelerating faster than me.

Anyone else noticing this?

As Gjidane57 mentioned: some races require a 70% power setting, but others let you use the full 100%

Yes. I was just blown away by the lead cars.
 
Man man man I got it.
Front spoiler to 350, rear to 450, top gear 320.
Last corner I swooped my car in front of the #1 and just let them ram me over the finish line.
Won it with 0.066 seconds.

I can't believe how hard this race was.
All the other races so far seemed like easy-mode.
Getting drivers licenses with 3-4 seconds faster than gold.

But this??? Jesus Christ..
Well.. 2 to go :P

If I got good setups for those last 2 races I'll let you guys know.
 
I noticed something weird about those races. The 1st one required me to get the power from 100% to 70% and i found it very difficult but the other ones let me get full power and then i blasted the adversity away even in acceleration

I been doing all races on 70% !
Gaaawwwd why did they make a series of races with different specs in em...

I think they lowered power so that in the draft you would not be doing 220 or 230 mph, which makes the race more realistic. Kind of like PD's version of a restrictor plate.
 
I ran the Willow Springs track at 100% down force front and rear and dropped the accel slighty on the rear and had no problem staying with them on the straights and overtaking in the corners, used the same setup of HSR and Indy no problems. Top speed set at 205 mph
