Nascar Special Event

Anyone else having trouble on the last Nascar challenge, where you have to draft on Daytona after a caution. I have gold on every other special event, but this seems impossible for some reason. I just can't keep the speed that the other cars do through the bends.
 
You may consider this cheating but turn of ASM, it makes things much easier.

Has to done on track mind you.
 
Sweet. I beat it by .001 of a second. TROPHY! ^.^
 
Get Racing Soft Tires, turn all of the Aids off, and pretty much just hold your ground, and don't let the other cars clip you. It's aggravating but worth it.
