Hello folks,
I see there's a lot of NASCAR interest around here - good to see. I was wondering if anyone pays much attention to the lower, touring series of NASCAR - K&N Pro Series East and West, Modified Tour, Canadian Tire Series, Toyota Mexico Series, and the Whelen Euro Series here in Europe.
This post was mostly inspired by the most recent round of the Whelen Euro Series, here at Brands Hatch in the UK, for the 2nd running of the American Speedfest. The racing was great, and several top GT/sportscar racing teams in Europe (Marc VDS, Racing Club Partners) and drivers (Christophe Bouchet, Mathius Lauda, Eddie Cheever III, Bas Leinders, Anthony Kumpen) have joined this year to really strengthen the series.
My video review of the weekend is here:
Was interested if anyone here keeps tabs on the touring series, as there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of coverage for them - and I think all have their interesting moments, and produce great drivers.
