NASGTC Season 2 (PRESEASON DISCUSSION, Please read first post)

North American Super GT Championship​

Hi all and welcome to season 2 of the NASGTC. Please read an get familiar with the information on this page. Signups are currently not open, but when they are, the core group from season 1 gets priority.


Rules and Regulations:

Cars: Stock Super GT 500 (at the moment only considering NSX, GTR and Supra)
Definition of Stock: Not parts added or removed once purchased
Power Limit: 518 HP
Weight Limit: 1080KG
Tires: Racing Soft
Damage: Light
Aids: Off
ABS: 1
Penalties: Off
Pitstops: 1 Mandatory Pitstop per Race

Race Length: 45 to 60 minutes
Race Time: Saturdays 530-7PM PDT


Qualifying

Qualifying will be 15 minute before the race, and will be done F1 style. This means all cars on the track at the same time. Please leave space between each other as to not ruin each others laps. On your in and out lap, please stay off the racing line.


Rolling Start:

Rolling start will be lead by pole position. Start should be at 110KPH (about 70MPH). Race starts when first car crosses the start/finish line. No passing can occur till you pass the start finish line.

Racing Rules and Penalties:

As penalties are off, this means I will be relying on clean honest racing. Corner cutting, ramming, disruptive driving in unacceptable, and will punished based on the offense. I will be saving every replay. Complaints should be sent to me within 24 hours of the race.

Pretty much, is you follow the GTP OLR rules, you should be good. Lets be respectful, and lets have fun 👍

Please read first post.

Some changes I am considering from season 1:

To simply things, going to limit cars to stock GTRs, NSXs, and Supras.

Rather than doing races in lounges, I will host them in open lobbies (my friends list has gotten out of control lol)

I am going to ask for a race steward or two to help me manage this. I am doing this for a few reasons. First because of time constraints, the because I may wish to change the qualifying format (this is up for discussion), and to help keep the thread alive if I am not around.

Thats all I have the the moment. Please bring any comments or suggestion you have. I have an exciting track list in mind, will post it once I narrow it down. For new members please show your interest as this is first come first serve.

Let's get some racers in here. Excellent league. Great group last go round.

Have you considered a every other week type of league for summer months. Maybe do GT500 one week and GT300 the next. This way drivers can join and race weekly. Or spread out the dedication on a prime night for summer. Help keep missing drivers to a limit. Maybe

I'm pretty much open to anything at the moment. I alternating GT500 with GT300 is cool, also considered combining both (8 and 8 and such). I've also thought about making it more casual (meaning losing the points, and just doing it on a race by race basis, more for fun, but still same rules and everything). More races a week, fewer races a week. What do you guys think?
